They do often garner higher pre-season rankings and such than they should. But relative to other SEC football teams not named Bama, LSU has historically and recently been in the top few teams. If you really think they are severely over rated within the conference, google the several "Big 6" topics in this forum. Lots and lots of supporting facts show we are a very good, at times elite football team. Fact talk.

LSU had to hope for a Mizzou loss on the last day of the season in 2007 to get into the title game.
