The blue dot is the universal symbol for unread. A little “new” sign is way less clean

Don't really care about "new" going away, but not being able to jump to a specific page when opening a post is a bit annoying. There's really no need to try to modernize this site, it's already easy enough to follow, and it's full of neanderthals and morons anyways

The old "new" inside the oval was causing issues with the increase in font size that we implemented.
After a brief adjustment period, you won't even remember the new image... or you won't long for it anymore

The old paging links on a really old thread, didn't even give you all the page numbers to click on.

The dot just replaced the oval… The functionality hasn't changed at all… Used to get oval, now you get dots. It indicates new activity, as it did before
