The Rant can be pretty funny at times. Several of my friends lurk in there after games and pull out a stupid quote. We meet on Tuesday after work and the guy with the dumbest quote gets free beer.
I'm not saying that the Gumps and/or Barners are any smarter, just not as entertaining.

If you think the Rant represents "the LSU fan base" you are mistaken. The coaches and knowledgeable football LSU fans I know have never even heard of the Rant, much less post there.
