As an Auburn fan, I can understand your disappointment with BBall season.

You can't leave Tennessee out of that. Tennessee is a huge basketball state. The entire city loves the Grizzlies and there are a ton of Tigers fans. Their are d1 programs all over the country littered with players from Memphis.

Nashville is another great basketball city and I love when it is the host site for the SEC tourney. Vandy has always had good support. The Vol's are like top 10 annually for attendance.

I love basketball season. It would be 100x more enjoyable if my team would win every once in a while.

That really does help. Not a huge basketball fan, but as a LSU and VCU fan, the 2006 and 2011 tourneys were great fun.

The NBA isn't basketball. Give college basketball a try.

Anytime one of the Big 3 is on can't possibly be the worst time of year.

Now get back with me in July when we don't have college baseball, basketball, or football.

In all fairness the way the games are being called this year has been terrible for the fans watching.

Completely agree. It's hard to watch AU basketball anyway. It's very hard to watch when the refs call 50+ fouls in a game.

Refs seem to call games too much in the favor of the home team. Or at least that's the way it seemed last year. Haven't watched much this year yet.

The call more touch fouls on guards because of a rule change. It's made it almost unwatchable.

At least now we have recruiting, NFL, and college basketball. The black hole of sports for me begins after March Madness.

Sup wit dat?

Football has more down time than actual time with the ball in play, by a large margin. This allows it to be more of a social event and allows every john, dick, and harry to be an armchair QB (or coach). When watching football, you can literally critique every play in detail with your buds, by using your extensive knowledge you gained being the 2nd string long snapper on your highschool's JV squad back in 1994. Add to the fact, most in the South didn't grow up playing basketball so they can't relate.
