You do realize that there have been a ton of quality RBs that put up better numbers than Leonard Fournette?

Fournette has done nothing statistically to set himself apart from the type of strong backs making their debut on a yearly level in the conference.

He does look like a very capable RB, and I believe he'll have the opportunity to show himself to be one of the best backs in the conference and perhaps the country. But people touting his resume at this point, at least for the point that he is some once a decade talent, are being absurd.

It only tells you don't understand the context. Post passing yards by their respective QBs before you go that road.

Hint: We had 2 passes completed for 15 yards at the half today.

I think some of you underestimate how important it is for an RB to play with a competent passing game.

Nothing about Fournette would suggest he is destined for greatness up to this point. If he was a random 3* guy playing, people wouldn't think twice about him

Well add in the context that Fournette's living has been made largely against pretty weak teams.

I think he's destined for greatness in the sense that the SEC has great RB performers on a yearly basis. Could Fournette be one of those? Sure.

Is he an Andrew Luck, once a decade talent? I have no reason to think that yet.

Brandon Allen at Arkansas in 2013.

Had a lower passer rating than Jennings coming into today. Nearly the same completion percentage. Jonathon Williams averaged about .5 yards more per carry than Fournette against Power 5 (BCS AQ for 2013). For the complete season, Williams averaged almost a full yard more per carry than Fournette.

70% of his yards came from in conference.

Jennings has 1460 passing comeing into this game.

Allen had 2280 before yesterday.

LOL

In-case you are bad at math, that puts jennings last among starting QB's

Are you fricking serious? A 1000 yard rusher in the SEC as a freshman who averages over 5 yards a carry and is the second leading freshman rusher in LSU history wouldnt get hype?

LF7 got 70% of his in SEC play.....

And Yeldon got a ton of hype going into his sophomore year. Thanks for making my point
