I missed that, unless "LMAO" and speculation about driving Texas fans further insane counts as an uproar.
For me the fact (and it seems to be a fact) that our nimrod superstar QB has any tattoos at all overrides the steer, fake or not. But then, I'm an old curmudgeon and admittedly just don't get it. Damn stupid kids. And get off my lawn.

Who is in an uproar? I knew it was fake soon as I saw it. There is a 100 post thread on Texags, a site that gets about 50,000 visitors a day.

It is an excellent troll. No doubt.
But the photoshop job is amateur, could have made it a lot harder to be exposed as fake.

Thanks for this, that's a good find. I'm not sure I trust their description, though, because the result is almost instant. My guess is it is only checking to see whether an image was saved by Photoshop. It's definitely a good starting point, though.
Not that it was needed in this case. You can just zoom in with your browser to see it is faked. Plus the missing left ear - I'd like to believe our dumbass QB would have both ears on his tattooed steer.

For me at least, a real steer tattoo (usually) underneath his shirt is a lot less troublesome than the Hook'em sign offered in Austin. Stupid, stupid move. I only bring that up because a longhorn tattoo wouldn't particularly surprise me now. Dumb bastard. Good thing he's so stinkin' good.
I agree on the "Bravo", though. It certainly could have been done better, but it sure got a lot of interest in a hurry.
