I fully expect Florida State to handle Oregon.......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just can't see FSU's strategy of sleep walking for 3/4 of the game then pulling out the victory working very well for them against a team like Oregon.

BINGO. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Same.

I just can't see Oregon overcoming the size, speed, and athleticism.

I don't watch a ton of Oregon games, and this has always been what people say about why they will lose. I would hope they are addressing it/have addressed it enough to where that is not the issue. I don't know when it is going to happen but I expect someday soon Oregon is going to outphysical someone good and this will be done

Not sure it is Jan 1

This is the best all-around Oregon team I have ever seen. I think Oregon scores more points than FSU is capable of scoring.

Also, Oregon's best defensive player(Starting CB) just tore up his knee, and will be out, so i can see Winston having a field day.

Didn't they beat Michigan State by 19 points?

If he doesn't play like he has in the first half of the majority of games he played this year. I don't think he can get away with 3 interceptions by the half against Oregon.

I agree with you. Given time to prepare I'll take athleticism over scheme all day. FSUs athleticism will be shocking to Oregon.

People will say B1G and MSU sucks, but yea they did. I don't know if it was because they were more physical or just more explosive on offense. MSU was doing a great job in the first half and then kind of derp'd

Oregon has not faced a team that is as big and fast in the trenches as FSU. PLus, I think the JW Oregon will see is the same one that went 21-30 for 309yds and no picks. Add to that, a running back that is capable of taking one to the house everytime he touches it.

If the FSU O plays like they did against Tech, they will win easily.

I expect FSU to beat Oregon, but I'd rather play Oregon. I think we match up better with Oregon.

Agreed; games of this magnitude are won in the trenches, and I think FSU has better linemen on both sides of the ball.

Have you seen Florida State's DL this year? It fricking blows. Boston College ran for 250 at a tidy 4.7ypc (with both of their main RBs averaging over 5ypc). Georgia Tech ran for 330 at 5.6ypc and their longest run was only 20 yards (in other words, the stats weren't skewed by a couple of long runs. They really were getting 5 yards on just about every carry). Louisville ran for 170 at 5.8ypc. Even Florida's comically inept offense managed to grind out 113 yards rushing and average 3.4ypc (not great, but come on, it's Florida). In fact, just about the entire ACC ran a train on that DL, despite many of them, particularly GT and Boston College, having awful QBs and no passing threat whatsoever.

Oregon's running game is better than all of those teams and their QB is an absolute stud. They aren't going to put up 21 in the first quarter and do nothing for the rest of the game. They're capable of keeping the pedal to the metal.

On defense, Oregon isn't fantastic, but they're okay and Jameis struggled to read lowly ACC defenses this season (actually, not sure he can read anything, but I digress). If he throws his usual 2-3 picks, and I don't see why he won't, I could see Oregon winning by 40.

Oregon had a lot of issues with their offensive line throughout the season. I believe the championship game was the first time since the beginning of the year that the line had been back to full strength. Oregon will do fine on offense, their defense is a little sketchy IMO.

Jameis can't turn the ball over like he's been doing this season or FSU is toast and may get blown out.

Yea dude. Saban has spread QBs figured out (especially the dual threat ones). Nick Marshall, Bo Wallace, Johnny Manziel, Clint Trickett. Owned!

And the best part is, Mariota is way worse than all of those guys. I mean Bo's a doctor and Wallace played WR for awhile (meaning he knows about catching and shite), so no way Mariota is close to them.

On a more serious note, Saban would obliterate FSU's offense. A more traditional scheme and a retard at QB (sounds a lot like 2011 LSU amirite!?)... Bama's dominant line play and Saban's exotic blitzes would stuff the run game and bait Jameis into 4 picks. And unlike 2011 LSU, FSU's defense isn't even particularly good.
