Doesn’t matter what receiver they draft if they don’t have anyone up front to protect him.

Very good chance he ends up a career bust but not placing the blame on him. Panthers are arguably the worst organization in the nfl and can’t even figure out how to protect a qb, much less actually utilize one.

As much as I hate Alabama I always liked Young. Too bad his career will be wasted due to a horrid organization

Funny, I look at ESPN’s draft needs for Carolina and I don’t see OL at all. As bad up front as they were last year I’d have thought that should be a top priority

He's too small to be a dominant NFL QB.

No one's asking him to be a dominant NFL QB.

He’s a #1 pick overall.

Yes they are asking him to dominate.

CJ Stroud balled out with the shitty Texans.

What happened?

There’s this thing called blocking they tried, who knew that’d work?

He was set up to fail the second the North Carolina Panthers drafted him. They love USC picks but they already traded down last year to grab the same pick in Jonathan Mingo (who still can't get separation). Can't throw to rookie wr's when you are running for your life. I think this is the year Young suffers a serious season ending injury. Couldn't happen to a nicer owner.

If he is able to win with a good D, the pick will be a success.

Eli never dominated. He played big in the playoffs two years and will likely be in the HOF. They'd be happy if he were Eli.

They built their team in the line and wr corp before drafting a qb. That's what happened. North Carolina Panthers drafted Young with a shite line and wr corp and then proceeded to trade away all their draft picks to get him. Dumb.

Same shite Cam dealt with. He covered the holes in their line with his legs but they never got him any receivers. His best receiver was Olsen lol, followed by an aging Steve Smith then a smattering of journeyman types like Devin Funchess.

(Not that they didn’t try. Kelvin Benjamin being a bust caught a lot of people off guard.)

Carolina only had one pick last night and had to go up to 32 to get it. They mortgaged the house to draft Bryce Young. The only reason Caleb Williams is at Chicago is because of Carolina's number 1 of a 4-pick package, including, sending JD Moore their best receiver to Chigaco. Add it up, they gave up 2- first-rounders and 2- second-rounders to get the deal done.

This will take time and management is also struggling to find the right head coach.

Stroud is a better QB. He would not have had that success he had in Houston if he had been Carolina's pick though.

Collins was an underrated route runner tied to a bad QB. Tank Dell was a steal in the draft. They also went out and got him a productive TE.

The Panthers only had an over the hill WR that was good in his day and unfortunately, still the best one on the team and over drafted the big old style prototype NFL body WR that can't get open. Young's game is anticipating breaks and throwing to open WRs. It's not throwing the ball in spots where his covered WR can go up and get a contested catch. XL and Mingo are the latter. They should've gotten him Ladd or Burton. Maybe even AD. He's not as good as Ladd or Burton at running routes, but he's much better than Legette.
