Good grief. Has THAT ever been done before?
Seriously though, about the unranked to #1 in 6 weeks ... I wonder if that has ever happened that fast before.
Neither has been done before. Fastest rise in the history of the AP and the first team to play 7 weeks without playing a team with a loss on the schedule.

State has gotten possibly more attention than they deserve. Each week gets tougher from here on out. Good luck to them, enjoy it while it last
Actually, it doesn't. But you know that.

Been trying & trying to talk about um... Thanks!

Yeah, how would I know? Put it on cruise, my advice.

Go away.
No one needs your advice.
State is #1 RIGHT NOW. Your opinion doesn't change that. So, it should be enjoyed.
You are pretty bossy for having a month old user name. I am sure that you are an alter, but either way, you can find your way out of this thread the same way you found your way in.
Back to State's major accomplishment ...

First you ask to discuss and then you don't want to discuss. Which is it? Discussion or sunshine pumping?
To this point it has been a great story. Saturday was a huge win and very impressive. Don't play your A game and still have a dominate win. Deservedly #1, at the very least in small company for that conversation. Impressive win by either ND or FSU could have the winner jumping them.
I stated that they are getting the attention, being #1 from unranked pretty much proves it. Am I wrong?
Also stated that it gets tougher from here. The collar tightens with every win, the target on your back is more pronounced and the pressure does increase. This is all true like it or not. But you are right, a discussion wasn't really what you wanted. Have fun.

I think I've found your problem right here:
It seems as though you're speaking from some vast knowledge base, when you're really just speaking out of ignorance.
A quick look at State's schedule shows that, in fact, Kentucky won't be as tough as Auburn, UT Martin won't be as tough as A&M, and Vandy won't be as tough as LSU. So the "truth" is that it doens't really "get tougher from here".
That may be what's setting some folks off, you're just talking out of your arse.

I am very happy for MSU and it's fans. I hope they win the NC. I esp. want them to beat bama, ole miss and a&m. I like seeing bama, ole miss and a&m lose.
I like Mississippi state. I don't particularly care for bama, ole miss and a&m.

I am happy to discuss the team and the win and the ranking. You are coming across in a decidedly different and dismissive tone, however.
If all that you are doing is trying to discuss State and their season, then by all means continue.
And, my apologies for reading you wrong. Intent is hard to pick up on in print sometimes.
So, go on.

I hope this is sarcasm. Besides all these sport talking heads bragging about state, all I hear is the new Dan Mullen/Dak Prescott dick riding fans that just bought their new cowbell because they heard Mississippi State is winning.

Hate those effing Cow bells , but "the Grind" has been classic Rant material for years. I love those old gifs. Who would have ever dreamed The grind would be legit? I hope the Grinders go all the way.

What?
They just got through LSU, TXAM, and Auburn undefeated.
A few patsies and Ole Miss/Bama left. It will be interesting to say the least, but the toughest grind of their schedule is out of the way.
