I don't want Alabama to face Florida's defense again

Watching the SECCG from this past year, I never realized how frustrating that game was. Florida made them earn every single yard even when the game was pretty much put away. That game was a nightmare for both QBs.

Isn't this why Alabama plays Tennessee every year?

Fewer games against the Gators.

That and we like to see L5U fans cry about it on here.

Please. I wish we were playing their defense instead of Tennessee's.

Problem with Florida that game was the offense. It couldn't do ANYTHING.

The defense kept things under control in the first half. It was 12-7 at halftime and UF was in striking distance because of defense and special teams.

Conversely the Florida offense makes it so easy for Alabama's D

Here is how bad Florida's offense was. Drive by drive.

3 plays, 8 yards - punt
3 plays, 0 yards - safety
8 plays, 69 yards - missed FG
3 plays, 6 yards - punt
4 plays, -5 yards - punt
3 plays, -2 yards - punt
3 plays, -8 yards - punt
HALFTIME
3 plays, -5 yards - punt
2 plays, 2 yards - interception
3 plays, -4 yards - punt
3 plays, -1 yards - punt
3 plays, 81 yards - touchdown
5 plays, 18 yards - downs
GAME OVER

Yes and if Bama wouldn't have mentally checked out late in the 4th quarter, we would have probably not gotten to 100 total yards.

Didn't that defense lose a ton to the draft? Like 2 first rounders, a third rounder and a fourth rounder?

I know Florida's talent level is insane and I'm sure they'll reload to some extent, but thats a ton of NFL talent on one defense.

LSU will continue to dominate Florida's defense this season. We aren't scared like Bama fans

I don't think Florida is recruiting on the level that they used to. At least I've noticed that they aren't bringing in as many studs as they used to. Am I just imagining this or is there any truth to it?

Then why do LSU fans always complain about playing Florida?

You're not imagining it. UF hasn't been recruiting as well lately (certainly not up to Florida's usual classes). On the field I don't think there will be much effect until next year though. That said, it's really only been the last two classes that have been weak by Florida standards and being in a recruit rich state it will be easy for them to get right back in the thick of it.

If Florida is even average on offense this year they will be a national title contender.

Doubtful. Their D wont be nearly as stout this year. Lost a lot to the draft.

Is Butch recruiting up to Tennessee's standards?

Because I see Florida ahead of UT in these 2016 class rankings.
