9-3? shite man, I'm just hoping we make a bowl game.

Good defenses stymied Tua. Clemson was the perfect storm; damn good on defense and offense.
No one on their 12 game schedule will do that this year. They'll walk thru it and over it ,just like last year. Funny, other teams on that schedule think that they have a chance they didn't last season ,and won't this season.

You know what would be cool? If Alabama, for the last 10 years, had a top ten ranked Strength of Schedule. And this is not me attempting to bash the program, there are many variables to scheduling games and having everything structured properly. Yet, it would have been fun to watch these teams, littered with grown men at age 18, play some more tough ones.
You know, there's a lot of mixed data on the internet. After doing some very light surface removal, I've found to be completely wrong in this regard. They have played excellent schedules, as far as "end of season" rankings go. This just raises suspicions for other things, though...How could a team consistently play top 10 schedules, year in and year out, winning the majority of games with ease? Sounds like "fair" play to me!

A few more Chargers and the NCAA to Clemson should do the trick.
9-3 ain't happening. They won't play anyone from the east or OOC in their prime.

You think Clemson is dishing out fat stacks of cash, and not recruiting super well based off of Dabo's Christian instilled principles?

9-3 best case scenario IMO. Saban with the surgery and embarrassment, is just about done.
Yep....they miss the playoffs and will lose their bowl game because of no interest.
Decline is real.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to eat my words. Lol all I meant was, there were a few years that Alabama looked like they could handle the Cleveland Browns and seemed as if they weren't even challenged.

Alabama will win 7 games this year. I see them going 4-4 in conference play.
Their coaching staff is a joke. Saban can recruit (aka cheat), but the guy can’t coach. He hired a drunkard to run the offense.
We saw what happened after LSU exposed Tuna. A drunkard running an offense with an exposed QB = not good!
The defense is laughable with all their early departures. I can’t think of one top player on their defense. That’s bad.
It’s. Over.

Are you, here and now, calling the decline of the Saban era?

L8u wins ten games and its a great season. alabama wins twelve-thirteen games and its disappointing.
see the difference? lil’ bro? L9u comin’!

Yes. I’ve been doing that for 5 months.
No one comes back after getting emasculated like that.

I do have to admit, it blew me away how ugly it was. They mentally checked out of that game like they would have if they were staying at the "Town House Motel" in Tupelo Mississippi.

Can you coach attitude?
Once hubris sets in the leadership of a team, nothing good can happen.
29-0 did us no favors.

alabama has too much talent not to challenge again. this was a troll post, of course, but there is some truth to it.
Tua's weakness is that he is prone to injury, and he plays valiantly, giving up his body. he should've been sat down late in the season last year, but although Saban does care about his players, he cares about Saban more.
alabama didn't have the strong running game last year either. whether this was because they emphasized passing or not, I can't say. I know they had quality backs and put up some good stats, but when it came to crunch time, they were not effective as THEY have been in previous years. will the big back emerge this year?
another thing, the coaching carousel is bound to cost them a little bit.
Nick is trying to motivate his team, stating how they got the big heads late in the season after the LSU game. Fact is, when you sport they record they have, and they keep getting a lot of talent, the prima donna syndrome is bound to strike, even against a master psychologist like saban.
what i'm saying is that a 2 loss season is not out of the question, and I mean 2 losses before the selection committee chooses the big 4, including the SEC championship game.
the one fly in the ointment with that scenario is that schedule. Moo State won't be as tough this year, arky and ole miss still won't be back. Germy Proot might have an improved vol squad, but how much? No, it's only LSU, A&M and Auburn who look to challenge them during the season and soften them up. I don't know when the A&M game is, but LSU and Auburn are at the back end, so Alabama could likely skate thru the front end of their schedule without a challenge. still, this may work against them as it did last year.
a 2 loss season for alabama would be wonderful for the rest of the conference. at Nick's age it could mean the beginning of the end. BUT, it ain't gonna happen until it happens.
so, as an LSU fan, we are going to have to depend on our team to win again against alabama. barring serious injuries, we should be able to make a game of it.

The same way Clemson recovered from 24-6.
