Well he's right in that White won't start over Stidham.
He has a skewed image of Sean White though considering Gus threw him to the wolves barely a month after White had a major break in his throwing arm.
Unlike last year, if Auburns starting QB gets hurt then it's not the end of the world. We might have the best backup situation in the country. White might not be an athletic wonder like most people think Gus needs, but Sean White is the ultimate game manager type QB. He has pinpoint accuracy and is extremely efficient. Led the SEC in completion % and efficiency as well as being top 5 in the NCAA in both before the broken arm vs Georgia.
Started 8 games while healthy and completed 72% of his passes and 9:1 TD:ING ratio, and 6 of those 8 games were SEC opponents.
You can tell him all about Sean White as an Arkansas fan. In the 2015 game, correcting for the 10 drops by our wide open WRs he would have completed 29 of 32 passes. He threw for 254 yards, so had those receivers not sucked that day he probably would have gone for 400 yards and 3 TD
Of course last season White didn't have to throw against Arkansas. Didn't need to since the team rushed for 545 yards in the 56-3 dick stomping of the gayzorbacks. (Btw Sean ran for 61 of those yards and 1 TD on only 4 carries that day
) How do you like THAT for shutting him down?

And there is no real QB competition at Auburn. Sean has earned the appearance of a QB competition through his hard work the past couple years but Stidham will get the nod and the decision shouldn't be close. This will help keep Stidham motivated as well.

Wasn't really going for an edge anyway.
Just making the point that while of course Stidham will be the starter, if he goes down then we won't be holding our breath and looking away like last season because the backup is pretty good too in his own right and can keep us winning
