I like him as a coach. Arkansas isn't going to be world beaters but I think with him you have a shot of competing every few years when the returning players are strong and you get a couple breaks - as any team needs in a championship season (divisional, conference or otherwise l). Not sure what coach Arkansas would get that would do better or play tougher.

His problem as a coach is that he likes to take it easy and not push everyone too hard during the season. In the Big 10 that made sense, you were saving everyone for the handful of big games. In the SEC they are all big games.

That having been said if he was at LSU I think Bert would have a pretty solid chance to win a national title. His pro style offense combined with a rock solid defense would be very difficult to beat.

If we had hired him right after Nutt then I could see this point.

Rocky, I see his point now. He was hired after petrino Harley harlot gate, and following "Smile"

Good Lord, who would have wanted what was left...

If we played in the big 12 we would have won at least 3 of the last 6 years.

If you made this claim five years ago most would believe it. And 2011 Arkansas probably goes undefeated in the Big 12, but 2012-2016, I can't find a single year where y'all would win the whole thing. You'd obviously do better in a weaker conference, but you still wouldn't win.

Are you really going to hang your hat on LSU barely surviving a woefully horrible Arkansas team in Bert's first season and Bert having to wait till the next year to beat you?

Damn son, the season is almost here. I'd be fine with that if you were just some random LSU goober but I expect better from you.

Load up some piss balloons and come out firing when the season starts. We'll just chalk this up to a bad plate of gumbo.

Plate of gumbo? WTF. Would you like a plate of soup, or maybe a plate of cereal and milk.

Cept I wasn't, but the tiny LA brains don't understand how numbers work.

Good news for you guys is you'll finally beat A&M this year. Bad news is that we'll fire our coach and start a new streak.
