This isn't jsut a 1 loss SEC team. We handed it to Auburn in BR.

They were never in that game.

They have looked less than dominant all year.

Neither has OSU but, they have won all their games

The whole one loss thing is just dumb. When you play cupcake after cupcake, you better win? If you come out of the SEC with one loss you are very very very deserving of being in the national championship discussion, if not, actually in it.

Btw, all I hear is auburn, auburn, auburn. Mizzou is in the same boat. If they beat Auburn by two touchdowns (which will probably not happen) they can pack their bags cause they are going to the natty. That goes for either team.

I'd love to see Big Ten commish Delaney blow another gasket over a 1-loss SEC team jumping an undefeated tOSU.
He wouldn't be the only one going nuts. For that matter, why should Florida St be ahead of either team either, they play in the wimpy ACC ? I mean, nobody can hang with the SEC.

Oh, wait, Mizzou just came from the Big 12 a couple years ago, and was a botched field goal from going undefeated this season. No, that's ok, it must be the special SEC logos on their helmets.

Come on, guys. If we're talking the same record, the SEC has earned first choice; but nobody should be jumping major teams with better records. You go 12-0 in a major conference, you should get the bid. Nobody is snubbing the SEC here; this is just the season that one of our teams didn't finish with one of the top 2 records.

Now, if Michigan St or Duke can pull off the upset, then the SEC team is in.

LSU could have named the score in the game in the swamp/death valley in Red Stick. Rain was a factor early, but Jeremy Hill jammed our arse as did Odell Beckham Jr. No question.

As for the rest of you bitches, Auburn won. Deal with it. 11-1 is 11-1.

Hopefully we have a couple more W's leave in the bag of magic tricks.

Seven years ago I'd have agreed completely with the above.

However, in my opinion, the body of work the SEC has put together lately has separated them for the Big 10 such that the SEC plays football on a different level than the Big 10.

There is not a class of "major conferences" anymore. There is the SEC, then everyone else. (The ACC did make enough noise this year to put them a little ahead of the Big10/Big12/Pac12.)

Part of the issue here is, every other conference should be against a 1 loss SEC team jumping OSU. If the SEC's perceived superiority allows it to happen in this scenerio, whats to stop it from happening over an undefeated team from one of the other conferences. They will not allow that precedent to be set.

Check back to 1966 and see how Alabama was denied a 3rd straight Nat'l Championship while undefeated. Sh!t happens.

This year's LSU team isn't nearly as good as that 2007 LSU team. This year's LSU team beat Auburn by two touchdowns in a dominant performance.

How stupid are you? 2007 LSU lost to Kentucky and Arkansas.

2008 Florida lost to Ole Miss so I guess obviously 2013 AU is better than them right?

I thought so too but the rest of the season has proven that it was the 1st quarter that was the fluke not the next 3.

It's a lack of respect, and people hate the SEC.

I would submit that Quarter 1 against UGA and Ole Miss and Quarter 4 against Alabama were flukes.

Bottom line is we all know OSU would get beat by a third of the SEC. With that said no way will Auburn jump an undefeated OSU. It just won't happen. So this discussion is a moot point imo.

Normally I'd agree, 1 lost SEC is better than an undefeated that had a patsy schedule.

BUT... this Auburn team is exactly two "miracle" plays from being a 3-loss team. That's not exactly the SEC credentials that earn you a spot over a major conference undefeated.

To be fair, if they don't return that missed FG for a TD, they don't lose. They go to OT.

I agree that other conferences don't want this precedent to be set. But the problem with this reasoning is this particular Ohio State team is just not that good. In most seasons, you've got to be pretty good to get through the Big 10 undefeated, but not in 2013. Ohio State isn't even a top-10 team, IMO. They're in the 15-20 range.

I'd have no problem with mizzu or auburn going over osu. Has nothing to do with years past. Both of those teams are better than osu right now.

Well we could have won the bama game based off a pounding run game and hit 300 yards by winning in ot. But we wanted you LSU fans to be able to start the party by living vicariouslÿ through us, so we did it in regulation. You're welcome.

We dominated UGA for 3.5 quarters. The only reason we had to make what was indeed a "lucky" play was because we got screwed on the drive before that after clearly stopping them short on 4th down.

There was nothing fluke about the alabama game. We went toe to toe with them for four quarters, they missed some FGs we missed two wide open TD passes, we put 300 yards rushing on them and at the end we made two plays to win it.

We won't go over OSU but anybody that is being honest with themselves knows there is no way OSU would be 12-1 (if we beat Mizzou) playing the schedule we have played and AU would be double digit favorites over everybody on their schedule.
