Remember when you weren't obsessed with all things Alabama?

Man, those were the days.

Kiffin is at a real football program

Uhh yeah, USC isn't "real" football?

He's had plenty of those already. Somehow, I don't think it will matter. He's young and spunky, and Saban is old and grumpy. They are destined to hate each other. This isn't a flame, either... I'd think the same if the two were at any program (or in the pros).

I don't know that they're destined to hate each other so much as Kiffin is destined to be a frick up. He can't help it really -- it's his nature. He has the douchebag frick up version of Asperger's and Tourette's blended into a single a-hole screw-up disorder for lack of a better description.

Out of all the possibilities Bama hired the guy who's team got better the second he left.

You do understand that Kiffin is not in charge. He is a coordinator. There have been several examples of coaches who are good at coordinating but not good at being the head guy (Cam Cameron) being one.

LSU fans don't know shite. Kiffin is simply a good OC and recruiter that was looking for a job. Sabin knows what he is doing so don't worry about the fit. As far as the future is concerned, who knows.

I thought so at the time, but they wouldn't have fired him mid way through the sanctions if that was true or hire Sark as his replacement.

My main problem with Kiffin is that I don't think any of his players have ever respected him. I know the USC kids didn't. Hopefully he will mature and embrace his role at Bama.
