Despite our outwardly cult-like uniform appearance there is actually a HUGE generation gap that exists within our fanbase. It is must more pronounced than most schools have because the experience of older Ags (who had to be in the corps) is VERY different than modern non-reg Aggies.
Actually our little forum over here is one of the best mixing of those generations I have seen.

Why do people find it shocking that a fan forum is full of people who like their team a lot, don't care about fans of other teams, and don't care to hear the opinions of opposing fans? That is the case with tidesports, texasags, Tiger Rant, autigers, etc. This is why I don't post on circle jerk sites like those, and post in an all sec forum instead.

I only post on the Centex board because there's good conversation about Temple Waco Killeen area and I lurk on Politics and Outdoors.

I dunno... Yall are pretty touchy on tTR, too. I got threatened with a ban and told to frick off by no less than three LSU posters for posting a sentence during the baseball game. Wasn't talking shite either.

Occasionally, there will be intelligent dialog over there (an outlier perhaps, but not unheard of). However there are more trolls there than I've ever seen on another site and those who don't troll are often hypersensitive.
Most of the LSU fans on SECr are the cream of the crop (since most also post on Tiger Rant).

Yeah those NegaTiger/PosiTiger battles get so epic they splash over here sometimes. I think it is a good thing, a fanbase with passion is a fanbase with a future. If you ever lurk say a Nebraska or Wisconsin forum after a setback for them (or what seems like a setback to outsiders) you run into some mild sunshine pumping mixed with acceptance. Like a kicked puppy who flinches when you lift your leg when its a dog. Passion seems to be the secret sauce to the SEC.

I use aggy because it gets under certain Aggies skin for some reason.

Surprised to see that the SEC brain trust couldn't come up with something of its own; but for some inexplicable reason, the horns are adored here
. We couldn't care less about the name gibberish; collectively, Ags are likely the most maligned group of fans in existence.

For some reason, t-sips seem to think that we get offended by "aggy".
The thin skinned Liucci groupies on texags certainly do, as the word itself is filtered.
Show the horns down sign to them, though, and it's like you called a black person a certain word starting with n.
The only way to really offend us is to pull a Maximus and make a bonfire joke...or compare cadets to nazis.
