To fishers agents unrealistic demands and recognizing that Herman is not a good coach

He's certainly not worth the 6 mil he was demanding. At least not yet.
LSU should've at least interviewed Fleck, but not bowing down to Herman was a good move.

I hope Herman runs Texas even further into the ground. Need to hire a big time name on defense

Thanks, but I for one would've still rathered either of them than Coach O. I wish A&M wouldve stopped playing the role of LSUs little brother doormat and given us a game for once like they were supposed to. Probably then we would've given either Jimbo or Herman what they were asking for if so.

ETA: Second year in a row now A&M kneeled down before us to ensure we didn't go out and get a better coach! Well played 3D chess

I'm not even mad about Fisher and Herman. I just don't understand how we go directly from fisher/Herman to Orgeron.

Gundy, Fedora, Fuente, Fleck, etc are all more qualified

Has anyone considered the possibility that Alleva was trying to break the bad news to Coach O, but a communication / yaw-yaw to English translation error led to both parties accidentally agreeing to the hire?

He's a helluva lot closer to being worth it than Orgeron is to whatever he's getting.

First reports said LSU was foing after the "big names"... can't do that with a cheap mentality. If you want to spend less then you go after lesser known or less publicized names.

This was a disastrous process.

I don't disagree. Like I said, I can't believe we didn't consider anyone else... but whatever.
I'll take uncertainty with O and his posse of coordinators over the certainty of crumbling in November with Miles.

Sure, ignoring the whole pot - kettle aspect and poor grammar within your post, it is something like that.

yep. No doubt whatsoever. Aleva is so second rate. He's embarrassing but I'm starting think we deserve him and O.

bullshite none of those guys give you the recruiting you need to win in this conference. O will keep talent on the roster those guys will not. I wanted Jimbo or Herman but I am happy with O over any of that group. Recruiting can not be underestimated in college football. None of that group as any ties to Southeast region.

I agree with not caving. Orgeron is a strong motivator
