I doubt hiring Herman would lose Eason. Also why are Gator fans excited about us hiring Smart??

You obviously aren't that bright.

I personally hope you guys hire Smart and Mullen stays at MSU where he is dangerous but not as dangerous.

Smart has no HC experience, and he is a DC. What makes you think he will be a good HC? And to have Pruitt who is a well known cancer as DC is the height of stupidity if that were to happen.
But rumors are a dime a dozen. Who knows? You would think they had someone lined up already.

Richt had no HC experience either and won the SEC twice in his first 5 years (and played for it another).

lol, how is he a cancer? Almost every positive thing we've done the last 2 years has been because of pruitt.

And he just got fired.

Extracurricular activities ring a bell? Punches thrown? Rumors of he being fired? Undermining Richt when he was the head coach? The man is a well known douche bag, there is a reason why he left FSU to go to UGA.

I don't know who is in charge at GAg, but it has been very interesting.

I guess it will be Kirby

Please, tell me why you're happy about that seeing as he's owned UF for the last several years (and will again on Saturday)?

First I will say that I think firing Richt was a bonehead move.... that said if I had to go out and hire a HC right now here are the 5 names I would consider from the up and comer side of things.

1. Justin Fuente Memphis.... considering how crappy that program was when he took over it's pretty impressive how fast he has built them into a winner...
2. Tom Herman Houston.... yeah he has only been HC for one year and Houston was built to win already but that offense executes with surgical precision and the defense has been pretty salty too for a spread school.
3. Matt Campbell Toledo.... young guy who has done a good job.... can obviously get his team to believe they are giant killers (i.e. Arkansas).
4. Dan Enos OC Arkansas... what he has done with our offense and Brandon Allen has been impressive... and that was without several of our better offensive weapons... I hope he enjoys the OC role and stays at UA but I fear he will be a hot commodity.
5. Matt Ruhle Temple... impressive turnaround at a school where football has never been a big deal. He may be more of a Big10 guy but he would be worth a look.

obviously there are others but these are the names that have caught my eye with what they have done this year.

Two of those are already gone, Fuente went to Va Tech and Campbell to Iowa State

Georgia is a Top 10 type job, maybe better. If they have to settle for somebody's coordinator, something is wrong.

Why not consult Uncle Lou?

He had all the answers after each of UGA's three losses. You know a guy that smart has a lot of pull with the AD.

Georgia is rolling the dice and dismissed a coach that went 9-3.

And is also something like 5-15 against the last 15 opponents. The thing is, an average coach can win 9 in the SEC East. That's not exactly something to hang your hat on.

Initially, I had a nightmare: Bad karma for firing Richt who goes to Miami of Fla., takes the best recruits that were headed to Georgia, and wins the national championship a few years from now, while Georgia's new coach is a flop who gets fired the year Miami wins the national championship.

Laughable...how much of those buds have you smoked? Let me get my miniature violin out of thimble sized case and play you a melody.

First off...have you been to the United States of Miami?
They are lucky to get 15,000 of their "fans" into that pro stadium....not a state school and absolutely no $$$$ President Donna Shalala gets on her knees in mens rooms to make payroll now. What are they gonna pay Richt with? Monopoly money? He is making over 4 mil now and is gonna hump his azz for the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables for 2 mil? He would retire first. They will hire an up and comer most likely who doesnt have big price tag.

I have it on good authority that UGA can get Ron Zook at a below market value. He is too old to rebuild a program...UGA is perfect.

UF has the most players arrested in the SEC. Between UF, FSU, and Miami, the state of Florida should be turned into a giant prison

This may well end up biting GA in the arse. You don't run off a coach like Richt without having a home run in the bag.
