No lie, the insecurity of the Auburn fan re: Georgia this off-season is truly amazing.
That 34-7 stomping really got under their collective skin. Could you imagine the insecurity if Richt hadn't shown his typical 4th quarter compassion when he is facing an inferior team that has quit? Oh well. Still pretty fun to watch.

Well...one day, long ago...in some "last season" Auburn went 3-9 and almost lost to ULM on the last play of the game that would have put us at 2-10 for the whole season. The next year...we went to Pasadena to play for a National Championship.
Where was UGA? We won the SEC and played for a National Title. Where were your vaunted dawgs?

If I wanted an Alabama fan to respond to my thread, then I would have put flyers out at my local County Labor and Food Stamps Department as a "help wanted" plea. Cheap labor is hard to find right now...but the state of Alabama is always willing in that capacity.

Gus will be someone's OC or HC at a lower-tier school in 3-5 years. Auburn fans are the most impatient in the SEC.

I expect AU to compete and do well in its games. I see nobody who we could not beat on our schedule (no different than many SEC teams), but that is totally dependent on so many things. Preseason hype is to sell magazines. its ALL bull shite.

Our impatience got us a SEC Championship and a National Championship....then an SEC Championship and a National Title Runner-Up right after that. How is Gus Malzahn "lower tier". You must be out of your mind. I don't understand.

When he gets fired from Auburn, he won't be in demand at top tier programs.
Also to be like UGA, you'd need to win 10 games a year a helluva lot more. I'd say since they've had many 10 win seasons since Richt has been there that they've earned their higher rankings a lot more than Auburn has in that same time period with the exceptions of the 2011 and 2014 preseason rankings where Auburn deserved to be ranked very highly.

Nope. Auburn needs to be ranked at about 85th right now. And teams like Southern Cal, Alabama, and Oklahoma need to be ranked 1st through 3rd. UGA should be around the 15-25 slot this year...but that is beyond their entitled place as masters of college football..."pre-season."
These are worthless polls right now...but the closer we get to the "real" rankings, in week 4, the more they will have more importance...unfortunately.
That is sad. I hope Auburn doesn't make a single Top-25 until we actually prove ourselves by week-4. Then you can judge us.
