You get testy when someone challenges your delusion?
When we stop hearing about hate crimes and hate groups out of Texas, then I'll be interested in hearing how you're different. Go look up any meaningful statistic, and you're a lot close to Mississippi than Minnesota every time.

From what I understand there is a William Faulkner relation to the bear somehow...now Faulkner was a great American writer, but poetry has no honest place in athletics and not trying to be a dick I think it sucks they took yalls mascot. Nothing is sacred anymore

Correction I just googled it and apparently there is a old story about how Teddy Roosevelt wouldn't shoot Mississippi black bears??? Either way it is convoluted and obscure and the ole miss fan base got effed on this deal

Yeah you're exactly right...Louisiana and another one called American Black Bear...never seen a bear in Louisiana personally but weird that they are here...the bear would have been my vote out of the three sh*tty choices they gave students

why all the cries about PC? Back when Ole Miss allowed the confederate flag and plantation owner mascot they lost in-state talent..Black athletes dont wana play for a school associated with those.
