Would he resign? Or go on to next year?

No doubt if he resigned, everyone would be so relieved that some kind of generous package would be cobbled up, just to have him go. Wouldn't be as much as if he dragged it out, but he is going to be one unhappy camper while it's dragging.

Or does he come back, with the full intent of turning it all around? Coaches are wired that way.

I say that, because I can see us losing to Kentucky - again. On paper we ought to win this, with Kentucky's injury and general rebuilding problems this year.

But I can easily see him losing this. Tennessee and Vandy ought to be winnable as well, but I dunno. Then we have Appalachian State...

Just saying I can imagine 1-11. Does that break Champ, or does he come back for another joust at the Windmill?

I have an idea what Sexton will tell him to do.

Did you know Missouri is a pretty good team even though the first game was bad. Missouri is going to be 7-1 when facing Georgia. That is what I am seeing right now.
Do not blame it on Muschamp for Barry Odom getting his team to improve every year. Barry Odom is just a better coach than Muschamp right now. That does not mean Muschamp is a bad head coach.

Exactly.

Muschamp does not lose to Tennessee, Kentucky does not lose to Missouri, and Tennessee does not lose to Kentucky.

Theres an order to this shite even in a down year.

Man I know y'all whipped our asses but if you watched that game and came away thinking Missouri is a good team then you and I saw two very different games.

Kelly Bryant is a good runner, but he is all over the damn map throwing the ball. An accurate passer would've put up 50+ on our defense last Saturday.

He is not going to quit. The guy doesn’t understand that he is the problem. He may hire a different OC and claim to open the offense the next year.

If Muschamp is 1-11 this year and is still the coach next year, I will permanently walk away from South Carolina athletics. Not worth my time, money and health at that point.

Why should he do that? Give away the plays to other teams that will be playing Missouri later this year?

What? I'm talking about just hitting the passes where he had open receivers and was off the mark. That's not saving something for later in the schedule, it's just successfully executing the plays that were called. He was finding open receivers and then missing the target.

Also, if your damn coaches elected to hold something back in a loss to Wyoming then you might have bigger problems than just an inaccurate rental at QB.

You won’t go 1-11 and Will Muschamp will never admit he’s in over his head and resign. Tanner will have to make a decision.

Eh.. I think that’s exactly what that means.

If you resign, it’s harder to get your buyout.

He will make them fire him, as he should.

We very easily could go 1-11, don't give Muschamp credit he doesn't deserve. If he lost to Ga Southern he can easily lose to App State, Tenn, and Vandy.

Really, I think we go 3-9 or 4-8. Which in year 4 should still be more than enough to fire his stubborn arse. But what I bet happens, is we hire a new OC/DC and have another offseason listening to him tell us he's going to open up the offense, play tempo, RPO, and other such Muschamp word vomit.

I agree don’t listen to a word of it, it’s all bullshite. Muschamp has too much defense in him. Offense makes him uncomfortable and he’ll never let anyone come in and open it up. It’s not in his DNA.

I don’t care how “‘moral” a guy is but leaving that much money on the table is a crime

Muschamp overplayed his hand.....he lost his job at Florida because of the offense...he then gives a failed offense to a first time OC at South Carolina....that is as dumb as you can get. The most important hire..and you gamble on it....stupid, stupid, stupid.
