I believe we would come to the same conclusion no matter what the "record" was.

By that I mean, even IF LSU won 8 games...they'd all be like the first one. So close that any game could have turned out the other way.

So IF LSU were 8-2 or Bama were 8-2.....the fact would remain that it would be 10 games with 2 very evenly matched squads going at it and I'd have no way of predicting the outcome of game 11.

Good post.

I honestly don't see any scenario where Bama could beat LSU by more than 10 unless we absolutely don't show up.

LSU could beat Bama by more than 10, but that would be the exception, not the rule, and Bama would have to play a bad game.

If both teams play good games, it would be a close game the majority of times, with LSU winning most.

I don't think there is much separating these two teams except for the obvious....special teams.

Which happens to be huge. With zero injuries to either side, LSU wins 6 or 7 out of ten IMO. Consider this; Alabama got a great game from their best player. LSU got a below par game from their best player. Those two results would not happen every time. Bad QB play for both was a wash and would continue to be so IMO due to the defenses.

Bama is a great team and would win a few, pretty much only if Trent breaks off a couple of long TOUCHDOWN runs,
and he has yet to score his first point vs LSU

LSU would prob. win 7 out of 10.

Yep, about 70% of the time.

every game would feature an injury.

random shite happens.

I think Bama has the advantage with trent.

so Bama 6 and LSU 4.

If I could require that late hits on the QB by Bama are actually called, than LSU 7 and Bama 3 and I will start Jarrett Lee.

You believe these Alabama fans. The tide plays a easy football schedule and of course wins against them and these yahoos think that they have the best football team. Even after they lose in their own stadium against LSU 9-6. Now they are going to bet the house that this Bama team will still win playing LSU in N'awlins. Wow, look how far they will fall after they lose this second time.

Us crazy Alabama fans! Thinking we have a chance! What fools we are!!!1!11!!!

I'm just looking for LSU to go 2-0. That's enough for a title.

The real question is would either team have any offensive players left if they played 10 times?

I just wish they could play a best of 3 to settle it on the field this year. Play in NOLA, and if needed, have game 3 in Tiger stadium at night

not reading the whole thread but I would say you only want to look at history since Saban became coach at the Tide

3 Miles 2 Nicks

so 6 LSU and 4 Tide that is if you think it is all about coaches

I don't agree with that I think our coaches are about even- that is until the 9-6 game- Les exposed something in Nick I thought I would never see- NIck went against his on MO to try to win the game- that is a sign of insecurity so now
Advantage MILES

But I think the difference in this game will be players-as It has been all year for LSU- we find a way to win and we have one more win in us for this season

Would say 6-4 lsu, but will know more 1/9/12. The winner on 1/9 is the better team. 11/5, well, both teams played scared. Hopefully both will go for the throat come 1/9

explain how you are so much better than us on offense and defense to make up for your sucking so hard on special teams. I mean your special teams are just embarrassingly bad for a highly ranked team.

I think Bama's offense is a little better.
I think Bama's defense is a little better.
I think LSU's special teams is a little better.

Despite what you think, Bama's special teams aren't terrible. The FG kicker had a terrible game 11/5.

I know you disagree, so spare me your opinion because I already know it. You asked for an explanation and you got it.

You think you would have won 11/5 being the better team plus having the home field advantage.

Do you really think it always works out that way? Usually yes, but the best team doesn't always win.

The two team are very even.

But LSU has a few players in its team (Mathieu, Montgomery, Reid, Jefferson) who are all out warriors and will find a way to win.

Alabama has Trent Richardson.

So it could go 10-0.

You LSU fans are out of your gords. You whine about having to play Alabama and then predict LSU wuold win 7 or 8 out of 10 agaisnt them. LOL!

LSU had to get extremely lucky to win the first game. Alabama had to get extremely unlucky to lose it. Alabama is the better football team - LSU fans saw it, realized they got real lucky and don't want to face the Tide in a rematch. Fact my b.r.o.t.h.a.s.

We had to settle for a field goal when we were on the 1 yard line at the end of the half; Randle dropped a sure touchdown pass; Ford stepped out of bounds in OT without anyone touching him or we beat you by a TD; your team couldn't muster a trip inside the redzone, had to settle for Hail Mary FG attempts, and went backwards in OT. You're lucky the game was as close as it turned out to be.

LSU 10-0. The real question is: would Bama's first team be able to hang with LSU's backups.
