Hurts vs Eason & all other SEC qb's

I saw the topic here on Hurts being an nfl qb and the chances of Eason. I think it is legitimately funny people on this board think Eason, Bentley and the other sec qb's are sure fire nfl qb's over Hurts 
.
I was reading a bucky brooks NFL.com article and he was talking about the next wave of nfl qb's, with Hurts being the only freshman on the list and also being labelled underrated I decided to dig in further.
First Hurt is 6'2 the same height as three of the first round qb's last year (Trubisky 6'2, Mahommes 6'2, Watson 6'2)
People on this board think the NFL has a fascination with 6'5 tall big qb's???? You heard of Osweiller, Mallett?.
There are only 5 6'5 qb's who started in the NFL last year, if you took out Carson Wentz, Cam Newton is the youngest starting 6'5 qb in the nfl, the rest? Big Ben, Carson Palmer, Bortles, and Rivers all qb's who might not be in the league in 3 years.
Back to Hurts, people say he can't pass, if he can't pass what is going to happen when he learns to pass?
Hurts last year When he’s had a clean pocket he’s completed 73.8 percent of his passes for 18 touchdowns, five interceptions and a QB rating of 113.7.
Look at this graphic.
his 120.1 passer rating from a clean pocket ranks 10th in the nation. Hurts’ QB rating of 117.0 on dropbacks lasting 2.5 seconds or less ranks fifth-best in the Power-5; his QB rating on dropbacks lasting 2.6 seconds or longer is 70.7.
For all the he doesn't have a deep ball people, On throws travelling 20 yards or further downfield, Hurts has gone 14-for-40, and with two of those incompletions coming as a result of dropped passes. He has an adjusted accuracy percentage of 40.0 percent, ranking 18th among all quarterbacks, and the best among freshman signal callers. He has also gone 16-for-29 on throws between 10 and 19 yards downfield, so he’s finding big plays when necessary.
Now lets compare it with Eason's.
People are going to go full melt down when Hurts is drafted as a qb in a few years Kid is the best SEC qb right now and will remain that way till he leaves Alabama.
Edit: For all the people who say Eason had a bad line, Hurts was under pressure more than Eason and faced less pressure, couple this with the fact that Eason had to drop back more because of the style of their offense.

I don't think anyone will melt down.
Eason is like Stafford was a few years ago. Extremely raw, unlimited potential, coming off of a so so freshman season (although Eason was significantly better than Stafford) and has #1 overall pick talent.

Allen is the best SEC QB. It'll be more obvious next year when the OL hopefully doesn't collectively shite its pants.

Not gonna comment on Hurts because I didn't watch him enough, but Eason better be more worried about keeping his job than about the NFL. I'm not saying he won't start the season, barring injury he will. But he needs massive improvement in his mental grasp of the game. A quarterback who is practically immobile in the pocket needs to think fast, and Eason never showed that AT ALL, in my opinion. For recruiting reasons, Kirby really doesn't need another flop of a season, so if Eason doesn't tune it up pretty quick, his seat will heat up right along with Coach Smart's.

I've seen that on other boards, but don't have first hand knowledge so I can't comment. Work ethic was also an early criticism I saw of Ramsey, and he never did seem to get a good handle on the position. Hopefully Eason is working hard, because defenses are gonna look at last year's film and test him right away in 2017.

Hurts will be lucky if he is still the starting QB at Bama at the end of his career let alone playing in the NFL. Blake Sims had better passing stats then Hurts and what NFL team in he the starting QB of ?

Hurts is an athlete for sure.
Those under pressure stats don't make me feel good at all.
Considering the defenses Bama is gonna face next year with a fresher O-line makes me hesitant.
All depends on the protection Hurts gets.

Eason has alot to improve upon, that's for sure. True Freshman excuse works until Aug 26. Time will tell.

Hurts too short and he will have double digit block passes again this year. He needs to observe Brees so he can learn passing lanes. I fully expect him regress this season.

Blake Bortles is easily younger than Cam.
