Chubb has been the most consistent of all the RBs, so the safe bet is on him.
Plus, LSU will be so far ahead of UF by the third quarter that LF will be on the bench liking photos of himself scoring first half touchdowns on instagram

Well that is dumb. He "might" be implies there is an argument for Cook over the rest at this point, and that simply isn't true.
Did you watch FSU at all last year? He was the best player on a playoff team. He's an absolute stud, and if you disagree, you just haven't been watching him play.

Hurd's been running behind the worst OL in the country.
That dubious distinction belongs to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The answer is Fournette, because he has the best offensive line and is the best runningback of the ones listed.

I'd love to agree with you, but Fournette has put up slightly better numbers against slightly better competition. He is in a groove. He truly is on the way to a special year.
Chubb is too. Love the kid. GREAT running back. Just right now, Fournette looks better. Only time and a few more games will tell. For me they are way above the others. Not meaning to downplay those guys....the SEC is just loaded with RB's right now.

Every yard Hurd he gets - HE EARNS. No help from the oline. The same just ins't true with the others.
This may be true, but that is negated by having a legitimate passing attack. It evens things out a bit. Hurd is good, though. Real good.

Hurd isn't even Tennessee's best back. Cook isn't in the other guys' league.

1b) Chubb- I gave the slight edge to LF because of UGA's RB depth.
LSU is quite deep in the RB position as well..
I agree 100%. But I feel like Richt will likely give Michel and Marshall the ball more than Les will give to Williams and Guice. I'm not arguing talent, rather philosophy.

Dalvin Cook, cause he might be the best out of all 4, and I'm an LSU fan.
I really like Cook, and he's a top 5 back in the country now that Conner is injured and Perine is having a rough go of it in the new air raid, but no way is he better than Fournette. He's not faster, shiftier, nor does he have close to the power Fournette can produce.
IMO to the OP
Fournette 25 carries 170 yards 4 TDs (27 carries 140 yards 2 TDs on the road against UF last year)
Chubb 23 carries 170 yards 2 TDs 1 rec 10 yards (21 carries 156 yards 1 TD, 5 rec 59 yards 1 TD last year)
Cook 22 carries 130 yards 2 TDs, 1 rec 15 yards (24 carries 144 yards, 2 rec 28 yards last year)
Hurd 25 carries 100 yards 1 TD, 3 rec 25 yards (10 carries 39 yards, 4 rec 3 yards last year)

He also has Chris Leak esque poise, Danny Wuerffel esque accuracy and Brandon Spikes esque lateral quickness

This post will likely go over like a turd in a punch bowl on an LSU dominated website such as this one, but I was more impressed overall by Hurd than Buga in 2014, considering the circumstances.
Hurd 899 yards, 5TD
Fournette 1034 yards, 10TD
Do those circumstance include that Fournette's yardage and TD's came on fewer carriers against 8 and 9 man fronts because LSU was so predictable and had no threat of a passing game?

Cook is in the convo, have you watched him? Yea...he's good.

So you think four Rb's get over 100 on UF? I don't know that our run D is bad enough for that. We have a stout Dline and two really strong LB's that get to the ball.

Sorry but Hurd isn't in the same class as Chubb and LF.

I wouldn't usually, but these are all REALLY good RBs. That 2014 RB class will go down as one of the best ever. Perine, Cook, Fournette, Chubb, Freeman, Hurd, and I didn't even get to guys like Mixon and Michel.
Three of them already ran for at least 140 yards on Florida last year when they had a good front 7.
LSU's OL has gotten much better, Fournette has gotten much better (UF was his first start), the QB being a rushing threat is much better, and the game is at LSU.
Chubb is consistent with what he did ever since he became a starter and UGA's OL is still consistently good. Any extra threat of passing can only make them better.
Game against FSU is last game of the year, and their OL should have some good chemistry by then. I'm actually expecting him to do worse than last year, but still over 100.
Hurd had Worley at QB and a OL that had to replace all 5 starters from the year before. Having Dobbs as a running threat should really help him out. I'm actually going conservative here. At 25 carries for 100 yards, that would only be a 0.1 increase in his ypc from last year.

Actually our Dline wasn't all thay great last year. Our linebackers are better too with Alex and Davis healthy. Our run D looks to be as good as the 2012 team. Our DT position is as good as its been in a long time, and we have two run stoppers in Morrison and Davis at LB as well as three corners when in nickel who all get off blocks and tackle well.. I highly doubt we allow more than two 100 yard rushers.. FSU has a bad Oline, Lsu we can load the box our corners can man them. Georgia will split carries so Chubb most likely misses 100 yards. We have a dominate defense when healthy.. As butch Jones said, our front four will all be in the NFL, anf so will our entire secondary. Don't underestimate how good this defense is. Think. Would LSU allow 100 yards to these backs? Cause our defense and yours are pretty much the same in terms of incredible in all levels.

Jalen Hurd. What a joke.

That's all well and good, but you've played UK, ECU, and New Mexico St. I'm pretty sure LSU's and UGA's OL/RB, will be more of a challenge....by a lot.
Kentucky 85th rush offense
NMST 107th rush offense
ECU 126th rush offense

This is cute. You seriously have no idea how talented LSU is at WR and TE, and RB, and OL, and now QB. Loading the box will not stop Fournette. Especially not in Tiger Stadium with a rocking LSU crowd. Fournette will get his, just face facts.

UGA will ride Chubb. He is their best weapon and you don't hide your best weapon when you need him. Chubb is an elite back, UGA has an elite OL. Chubb will get his.

I'm pretty sure LSU would allow 100+ yards to Chubb even if we have a good front seven. Look at Bama's front 7 last year. You think that stopped Elliott? Did Bama's 2012 front 7 stop a true freshman Todd Gurley? That team was ranked 1st in rush defense and Gurley ran for 122 yards at 5.3 ypc and scored twice. That defense only allowed 76 rush ypg as a team total.
Posted on 9/24/15 at 12:07 pm to Datbayoubengal
Serious question: Is Chubb as good or better than Gurley? I havent watched him enough to say but I figure someone here would be able to opine!
