One can admire Jesus and abhor hypocrisy and the cheapening of His word by hypocrites.
We are in such a moment.

It is good to follow Christ Jesus. A Calling everyone should have, in my opinion. But we are all sinners and neither one of us should boast of our piety or good works. You are bound to fail and Coach Freeze must have thought he was untouchable when it came to violations and immorality.
Coach should have come clean with his employers, The University and the players that trusted him. He can be forgiven but he needs to look himself in the mirror and ask if he can be true to his family and himself and quit acting like he is better than others.
Contrition is what is needed. Not blowing trumpets while he gives false alms in the collection plate.

It's amazing the cultish group think. But change his tweets from God to Alah and they'd flip their shite.

I think the Stone Age bearded towel heads ramming trucks into crowds of civilians and bombing little girls' concerts en mass are the worst. But hey that's just me.

Most Christians are good, decent, humble people. Then there are some like Hugh Freeze. He turned a lot of people off with the way he forced his beliefs on people.
Then he stood behind his faith and claimed persecution when his true nature started to be revealed. Of course people are going to be critical of Christianity because too often people like him are the face of the religion.
Christians then start to defend him because of their nature to forgive, or take his side because the other side are attacking Christianity.
The truth is that Freeze is a fraud. Christians don't need to forgive or excuse his behavior, and the other side doesn't need to attack religion. He isn't another holier than thou Christian damning all of us to Hell while he is in fact worse than us. He is a con artist using Christianity to his advantage.

And to people over there and other parts of the world. The Christian world are the torrists that use their fancy planes and bombs to kill innocent people.

There's a Christian terrorist group with jets and bombs?? WTF?
Posted on 7/21/17 at 5:04 pm to Gradual_Stroke
I'm just saying that is their perception.
But sure, Christians through out history have started wars, carried out genocide and enslaved people.

Lol you can't be that ignorant. The crusades were the only holy war Christians have ever engaged in and it was a direct response to Islamic invasion of Spain (shocking). Other than that there have been no wars waged in the name of Christianity. And LOL at you comparing pre-reformation Christianity with contemporary Islam as some vague justification for Islamic aggression/terrorism.

Sure they suck. But so are Christian terrorists like the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and the National Liberation Front of Tripura in India. Same for Buddhist terrorists like Democratic Karen Buddhist Army in Myanmar. There are many accusations of Jewish terrorists in Israel with events such as the Duma arson attack and Saffron terror is highly debated in India.
Thing is, w/all of those you can find one common thread and it's that they are all fundamentalist and extremely dogmatic in their beliefs.
Religious fundamentalists (as well as political fundamentalists) will always be dangerous b/c large swaths of followers are more easily co-opted by leaders that wrap themselves in a cocoon of scripture and nationalism that obscures just how awful they truly are.

I think the historical body count at the hands of people claiming to be Christian is pretty fricking high.. see Bosnia for the latest example, see Central, North & South America, Mexico, Philippines, WW2, etc..
