How would you feel about the SEC going to a draft vs the recruiting process?

With conference reallignment and the talk of 4 super conferences, how would you feel about each conference going to a draft format instead of the recruiting process? Each player could chose which conference they want to play in and then the teams draft from the pool?

i realize that this would have some hurdles to clear but it would cut out the cheating talk and make the conferences much more competitive.

Yea, so the kid doesn't have a choice where he goes to school. That'll work.

That is borderline retarded. No wait, that isn't borderline. That is fricking retarded. So you are going to determine what school a young man should go to based on football? This isn't minor league football. You go to a University and play for their team.

so all the bama players are there because UAT is known world wide for outstanding academics?

if kids chose schools based on academics, Vandy would dominate the conference

I'm gonna need someone to carve a sign in your forehead. Otherwise, how will I know how stupid you are if I were to meet you on the street?

Contrary to popular belief not all kids are complete fricking morons who think they are guaranteed a roster spot in the NFL. They choose the university they will attend based on many reasons of which academics is one. They also factor in location, fields of study, attractiveness of the campus, how easy it is to get laid, reputation, networking opportunities, etc.

You would force someone from Birmingham, AL to go to South Carolina to play football? Or someone from Columbia to go to Alabama? Yeah, that will go over real well. What if the University that drafts a player doesn't offer his major of choice?

Did you even think before you posted?
