How will this ratchet up the LSU / Florida 'rivalry'?

I don't think you'll ever see the same kind hate between UF and LSU that you do between Bama and Aub, Bama and UT, OM and the NCAA...

Agreed. Can't really think of very many of the top bitter rivalries around the country that come remotely close to being 600 miles apart

UF's most bitter rivals are FSU above and beyond anyone else. UGA, UT and Miami are all close behind (Miami used to be tied with FSU but since we don't play them every year in football anymore, they've been relegated). Auburn and Bama might be a bit ahead of LSU as well. We just don't play each other in a lot of decided games.
This past year may change things however. When AD's are taking shots the fanbase has to take notice.

It's because generally speaking we have had well rounded athletic programs, UF being one of the best. We suck at basketball rt now. But we play each other in other sports out side the regular season as well.
