The East is getting desperate to change the trend westward of conference power. If the Vols step up and bring the SECCG trophy to Knoxville, I'll be happy for them.

I would be disappointed because it meant LSU did not win the SEC and National Championship, but I would be happy for the Vols and their fans.

These ridiculous Volunteer fans are now telling themselves that at least one person from Texas thinks that their program has a shot at the title. Of course, we all know this is fantasy. But they take that shite seriously. That's why every year they are offseason champs -- without question.
I guess it's actually funny in a sense though. So carry on. The letdown is always glorious. Every year.

I guess you guys can always hope that this is the year you get over the Florida hump. But it's pretty doubtful. So chalk up a loss to Florida, per norm. You'll then have to hope for Florida to lose two SEC East games. The reason I say East games is because you're both going to lose at least one cross-divisional game (Tennessee loses to Alabama, per norm, and Florida loses to Arkansas, because they're inferior). Now, who else in the East is going to beat Florida if Tennessee can't?
The best Tennessee can hope for is a tie with Florida, because there is a good chance Florida loses BOTH cross-divisional games (Arkansas and LSU). But Tennessee still sits out having lost head to head to Florida earlier in the season.
Sorry Tenner fans...not this year.

Well Ole Miss finished top 10 last year and a 4th and 25 miracle from going to the SEC championship game, so how would everyone feel if Ole Miss won it all? They are at least as close at UT, imo.

We still had decent teams throughout the 00s, wasn't until 08 that we really started losing it. With the exception of 05. That was terrible
