Georgia will win at least 10 games this year. People automatically assume we'll be crappy simply because we lose Stafford and Moreno, but most people have no idea about our team. And our schedule, while pretty damn difficult, I would venture to say is more favorable than last year. The opener at OSU will be key, but if we win that the sky's the limit. They don't have much of a defense and we will have enough offense. We then get SC at home at night, a complete question mark in Arky on the road (who the hell knows how good they'll be?), a shitty ASU at home, a QB-less UT on the road (where we've won 3 of the last 4 at Neyland) and Vandy before a bye going into UF. Florida is good, Auburn sucks, UK is a gimme, and we DOMINATED tech last year until we stopped playing fundamentals and GAVE them 14 points in the second half off of turnovers. Georgia will be fine this year.
All that is about the schedule, here's about our team. Joe Cox is a veteran who hasn't lost a game as a starter since 8th grade. For all you figs who might compare him to JT3...don't. There's no comparison. We will have one of the best Olines in the country..yes I said the country, to give him protection. That's something Stafford never had. RB will admittedly be a question mark, but due to the aforementioned Oline it should shake out OK.
As for defense, it would almost be impossible to be worse. We get our leader back in DT Jeff Owens. This will take the double teams away from Geno Atkins. We will have one of the best DT rotations in the nation with Owens, Atkins, Kade Weston, and DeAngelo Tyson.
Georgia will fly under the radar this year for sure, but that's when we play our best. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see us play in a BCS bowl/or the SECCG.

This is why they will win more than most people think.
I'll say they win 9 games.

There's every reason to think UGA will get romped by UF.
But I can't help thinking 2 things. 1) it's a rivalry game and 2) UGA was humiliated last year when they had the score run up on them.
Just saying. Teams don't forget that sort of stuff.

Bingo.
And I'm sure yall wont forget Meyer calling timeouts at the end of the game to prolong the agony.

I think they finish the season watching the SECCG at home on tv with Bama and Ole Piss

As long as our O-line can handle Spikes and his boys we'll be fine

IF they can pull the upset in stillwater (yea its going to be an upset if UGA wins) then I think 11-1 is not out of the question with 10-2 being more likely with losses to UF and someone they shouldn't lose to. If they lose in stillwater anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3 seems possible.

You may beat us, but we will score at least 20 on you

As long as we still have 21 on the board when that clock ticks to :00 I'll be cool with it.

UGA always seem to perform better when they're the under the radar team and fold when the expectations are too high. It seems Richt is better at motivating them as underdogs than as the ones with the target on their back.
I have to say though that if they win more than 8 games this year, it will be a major accomplishment. Couple a new QB and RB with Martinzez's swiss cheese defense may make for a long season.

We don't like having a "#1" next to our name. Last year football and this year baseball for example....
