You forgot the game of the week: Thursday night prime time Tennessee vs Appy State.

If ASU wins, it will be almost...well, 38%, 39%, somewhere in that range...as big an upset as beating Michigan was.

My remote is going to get one hell of an exercise, flipping through all of these games, trying to keep up.

How old are you and the other questioning the Monday game? This isn't the first Labor Day game. Hell in the mid-2000's FSU/Miami played several times on Labor Day

What is so weird about a Monday game on Labor Day? Are you not looking forward to watch football on a day off of work?

It's pretty surreal knowing Tennessee is returning to their rightful place amongst the elite of college football. It's like my childhood all over again!

Me too. It will be all the more fitting when LSU beats them down in the SEC championship game, sending the Athleic Department into another decade-long tailspin.

I don't think it would even be that big though it would be portrayed as equal by the media and fans. Appy State has stepped up from FCS to FBS football since that time frame.

Are they doing the FCS kickoff game the Saturday after Cal/Hawaii? NDSU/Montana was one of the best games of the season last year. It's not big boy football, but a Saturday with college football is a good day.

Now I actually feel silly because I had completely forgotten that they moved up when I wrote the troll.

I figured you were just basing that percentage on the fact that Appy St pulling an Appy St. wouldn't be as big the second time around and you know implying Michigan is bigger.

Exactly, but it doesn't work as well if ASU is no longer an FCS school, dammit.

Not that I remotely think UT will lose. The difference between UT and Michigan is that Michigan didn't have the bruisers that UT (and most SEC schools, for that matter) has. It's like upsetting a red-hot three-point shooting team by catching them on a bad day vs upsetting a fundamentally strong tempo-control team. The latter is much harder to knock off-balance.
