My uncle was the same way. About 5 foot 8 in high school. Grew to 6 ft 4 out.

He did. Northeastern Junior College and then Northern Colorado.
And yeah, apparently he grew 5 inches after highschool.

At any rate the answer is that DK has gotten a shite ton better every year since college but he's really gone insane under Barnes. He was good but not remotely where he is now.

Scotty Pippen was a a 6’1” walkon at UCA and grew to a 6’8” beast at that level. You never know.
