More likely because he’s possession guy with a very limited upside.

McConkey wanted to be a VOL out of high school.

And even after Georgia offered him a scholarship, he then went up to Knoxville hoping that Tennessee would match the Georgia offer.

The VOLS told him "Nope."

The rest is history.

He absolutely isn’t but you just assume he is because he’s white.

Because Bill Belichick doesn't have a draft pick this year

Marvin Harrison Jr and Ricky Pearsall and Malik Nabors are great receivers too. Doesn't upset me he fell behind them. But some of the other receivers taken ahead of him do make me wonder.

which ones? If Pearsall didn't bother you, the only other one I can think that might have is Wiggins. Harrison, Nabers, Thomas, and Odunze were always going to be the first 4 drafted. Thomas was the last of that group drafted at #23. Legette ran a 4.39 40 and is a 6'1" 220 pound receiver who also had over 1200 yards receiving last year and didn't have the benefit of playing for a team as good as Georgia. He was the last player drafted in round 1. This draft was just really stacked at the WR position which is why you saw a record number of WRs taken in round 1.

He plays to that 4.38 every single play, you can see it in the way that he rages off of the ball, and once he has the ball in his hands,” Harbaugh said of McConkey. “Me and Joe [Hortiz] were talking about him, he’s very [Raiders TE] Brock Bowers-like with the way that he gets yards after the catch. Competitor, big-time. Those things. He catches the ball. A terrific route-runner. He has the quickness, he has the speed that is going to be great for our offense. I love the guys that can run in the 4.3s.”

He's got back problems. That's why he fell to the 2nd round.

Think he goes later in this draft chock full of offensive players than your Biletnikoff winner? Call me when Heupel gets a WR drafted in the first round. Or any offensive skill player.

So you're shitting on a rookie Wide receiver because he wasn't one of the premier wide receivers In the league?
