Just curious what you guys think, and if it was your basketball program what would you want to see done.

A large majority of MSU fans on message boards are calling for Sidney and Bailey to BOTH be kicked off the team and Coach Stansbury to be fired. I find this a little extreme. Others say suspend the players for 5-10 games.

Its a sticky situation because all of the baggage Sidney has with him and the potential he has. Stansbury is really on the hot seat this season. I dont think he will be back next year and that is a shame because for a majority of his career he has been a good coach but this season has really put him in a situation it will be hard to get out of.

He should be bought a plain ticket back to Jackson have someone pick him up and drop him off at his apartment. Only to find that there is a moving van and every thing is boxed up

Well Sidney has already been in this situation before, if I was the coach I would straight up tell him there's no room on my team for this behavior and for him to hit the road.

Not that it matters as far as the OP is concerend, but does anyone know why they got in a fight?

Why was it allowed to last for what seemed like 2-3 minutes without security getting involved?

Word is that the other player in the fight, Elgin Bailey instigated the fight and threw the first punch and Sidney was just defending himself.

I want to say thats it and cut ties, but he is soo damn talented. Id hate to be Coach Stansbury, he cant even enjoy a win in Hawaii over Christmas holidays without having to deal with this.

You have to cut the guy loose. Hell he just came back from a suspension for "conduct detrimental to the team." He's done in Starkvegas.

Girl from my hometown is good friend with D Bost. He told her in Aug this guy was going to tear this team apart. Cut him now. That's what I think.

Anything but booting Sidney off the team would be saying Sidney could get away with anything...

Suspend Bailey for a few games or something.

I don't think Sidney has ever been made to work or pushed by teammates and coaches.

In all honesty he could end up being the next Marcus Dupree out of Mississippi.

Considering the lengths State went to get him eligible, you gotta show him the door.

Is there really a need to even think about this for more than 5 seconds? The answer is they both have to GTFO. There is no alternate answer at all.

Are you even serious? Who gives a flip about your depth. This should be very much inexcusable and the only action to take is to send them packing yesterday, even if you dont win another game.

I'd keep Sidney on a short leash. i thought the kid would be a bust simply because of his personality and I told State fans to not get too excited about this guy...

I've seen too many times a top talent become a cancer to a team. See: Anthony Randolph
