If I was Ole Miss, I would have to be forced to pay him anything. He left the program in shambles thus causing the cheating to put the program back in place

Personal phone calls aren't compliances job. But if you need to relieve your overactive mind, the NCAA almost certainly combed every staffers work phone in the five years they were here. If you're hoping to find recruiting violations then you're just hoping. Get over it.

Nutt's team can drag this out through the process of discovery.

He knows where the bodies are buried, you can call it blackmail, but there is a monatary value to OM for Nutt to not turn over information to the NCAA that it has no authority to gather on its own.

Should have pawned him off on another sec west school, allowed him to resign, gave a speech about walking in his moccasins, and gave him a golden parachute.

It is interesting that Ford's first day on the job at Arkansas he fired Nutt who ended up lobbying his way into he job to replace him only later to get the man who replaced after being fired him to quit.

They can't do anything if the case gets dismissed, which will assuredly happen if there was indeed no disparagement clause.

Ole Miss seems determined not to. I bet it goes all the way.

They've already received the phone records, for free, that OM didn't want to give up.

He's already caused freeze to lose his job, which was probably his main motive to begin with.

I couldn't give two shits less, actually. Y'alls demise doesn't affect the Gamecocks in the least.

Low eight figures, minimum.

They don't want to give Nutt any satisfaction, but the worse prospect is opening their program wide to a court hearing. That would be substantially more damaging and expensive, in the long run.

Whether he has a case or not remains to be seen. It will depend on the wording and intent of the contract. Mars contends there is a disparagement clause, and that Ole Miss's explanation is nonsensical and absurd. I would expect that he is pretty experienced at reading and interpreting contracts, after all, he was Wal-Mart's top lawyer in house. Everybody is spinning and posturing at this point. So I wouldn't take either side's statements as objective truth just yet. But I do think Ole Miss has handled pretty much of this whole mess rather poorly, or they would not have gotten into this mess with Nutt in the first place.

How so? Nutt is a shitty coach. No one will hire him.

Plus, 2 top coaches were busted on the ACT charges. Academic fraud, which is why we had the NCAA in town. Then the coaches lied to NCAA. That's 4 L-1 charges.

Ole Miss finna eat.

Latest rumor is the call logs revealed something not very salacious but damaging to OM, thousands of contacts during the recruiting dead period, this is 100% a compliance issue and just another headache for the AD.

No clue if it is true or not

If Ole Miss had handled the situation reasonably well they would not be facing a suit from Nutt, nor all the bad publicity that has accompanied it, and Freeze would still be the coach, at least for now. Now what exactly do you think Ole Miss is going to eat? A bowl of gruel?

It's almost to the point where Mr. Mars could submit a post from matthew25 or rebeloke as undeniable evidence to the contrary

When is CHF serving OM with his suit to recover lost monies? Or are we to believe that he just walked away from $12+ million because Bjork and Vitter asked politely?

There's evidence on the Board that fans are growing tired of piling on OM, and some are openly feeling sorry for you confederates. Please stop posting stupid shite so we can all just wave good-bye as y'all circle the drain
