How much money do you think Vegas made on Tennessee this weekend?

I couldn't believe that UGA-2 line when it came out. Do you think there was a single person that put money on Tennessee?
Those bastards in Vegas are good.

I was shocked when that line came out. I was even ready to bet against us, glad I didn't.

Yeah, when lines that seem too good to be true like that come out you need to stay away, because they will hose you 90% of the time, for who the hell knows what reason.

I was always told that Vegas was in the business of balancing it's book, i.e. getting the same amount of action on each side of the game and making the juice in the middle.
But a buddy of mine is pretty much a degenerate gambler. He makes/loses $100k a year on sports betting. His bookie is local, but everything is run through a casino/sports book in Panama.
Every year they throw a big Super Bowl party and fly in their high rollers. And that's when they settle up for the season. About 5 years ago, he took me with him as a guest. They gave me a behind-the-scenes tour of the casino and the sports book.
In short, they don't try to balance their sports book. They want 65-75% of the money on the wrong side of the bet. And they're really good at it.

I took tenn a lot of times when I make a bet I will follow the public. I also took Texas. Oklahoma and Georgia was the top 2 teams the public was taking so I went on the other side. Like you said Vegas is so good that it's just amazing

Chubb playing defense now?

Vegas made the vig (10%) of all monies wagered on the game. The lines move accordingly to insure close to even betting.

You think Vegas predicted that Chubb would get McGahee'd on the first play?

Not as much as they won on fl vs on.

Yeah but they lost it all on thinking Mizzou would show up to play Florida

All I know is I loved seeing UGA lose. Probably thought they were hot shite wrecking us and having Lambert put up NCAA records.
/Spoiler we are really good and are just playing the long con on Clemson to wreck their season.

That's about the only reason I thought we had a chance. It's not uncommon for really easy looking lines in Vegas to somehow go the other way. I was hoping that would happen for us this week and it did.

The took me behind the woodshed on the UGA -2 line

That was my exact thinking on the Chiefs and Bears today. KC was a 9.5 to 10.5 favorite.
