Mizzou isn't anywhere near a blue blood. We're a historically decent basketball program largely because of Norm. We've had mediocre success (two Elite Eights) since he retired. And that's it.
We have potential. And so do a lot of other schools. I'm not that excited about Cuonzo long-term as I think he has a ceiling lower than I'd like. But he could be the best fit for the job right now.

Not really. I'm happy for them. When you follow the tournament for decades, you realize it's a crapshoot. If you're not a top tier program, it's going to take a lot of ducks lining up to get to the Elite Eight and then you need the performance of a lifetime to move on. We haven't had that. It is what it is.
