You know, it is possible to have real conversations on here. I do it all the time with non-LSU fans.

Are you trying to make fun of Galveston or something? Not sure what you're getting at but you come off as insecure.

You said Chavis didn't do good against teams with a solid running game, gave two examples and you deflect.

We know your whole life revolves around that wish but it really hasn't.

Most of us see this as an opportunity to upgrade and hope we nail the new hire...

Chavis is all of a sudden a hall of famer because you guys signed him. I think you will find out the truth in the days ahead. Good coach, mediocre recruiter. Scheme is based on matching up man for man and beating your guy. Good luck with that at A&M.

Coming for that arse next year same as always.

This past season LSU's defense gave up the following RUSHING yards to these teams:
268 to Wisconsin
302 to State
298 to Auburn
263 to Notre Dame

I don't think he's a hall of famer.
I said a couple of times during the search that he wasn't at the top of my DC wish list.
But as has been mentioned by my Aggie brethren multiple times, we don't need a hall of famer DC.
At this point, an adequate one would be passable.
Our offense typically puts up enough points, that as long as we're not habitually in the defensive cellar, we should be ok.
Time will tell.

Never really go in the water anyways, just get drunk on the beach or fish.

Plus the water is fine unless you're a pussy.

Not going to happen.

We'll never care about aTm enough to hate them.

I actually don't think hes the right DC for you guys. As I said, his scheme pretty much revolves around beating your guy 1 on 1. This is part of why we have trouble with Bama's offense. You can't just match up man for man against every team.

With A&M's personnel I really don't see this working out but time will tell for sure.

In a few days I will either wish we had Chavis back or be very happy he is gone...I am not sure how someone could watch LSU the last two years and think Chavis is a slam dunk hire.

Funny how a month ago the problem was losing kids to the draft, not chavis

Different philosophies, needs and perspectives, I'd wager.
Should be interesting to see if Miles makes a hire similar to Chavis, or if he heads in a completely different direction.

His defense has been top 15 every year at LSU except his first. You have to be Stretch Armstrong to find a way to say this isn't a great hire and right up there with Muschamp as the best hire of the off season.

So are they going to give him 2-3 years to recruit to the level of defensive players he had at LSU for his system?
