LSU might only have two returning LBs for '16.

Those two returning linebackers are >> our 9 returning linebackers.

Chavis has absolute DICK for linebackers at A&M. His best two are out for the season and his 3rd best is a 215 lb true freshman.

I hate to break it to you, but if you think Chavis is going to bring in elite LBers for A&M, keep dreaming. Look how depleted LSU is at that position...that's your future.

I'll just settle for average at this point. What we have is dogshit.

Chavis gets a pass. LSU is better off with him. They could have won if he hadn't left.

I think the real issue is Les being boneheaded with the offensive playcalling. He is too scared to allow enough creativity into a scheme to neutralize an opponents D. He shut that down in 2009 or so after nearly losing his job.

Not at all. the Defense wasn't really the problem. The Offense could not move the ball. Hard to win that way.

So y'all sucked at recruiting LBs too. Doesn't change the fact that we couldn't recruit and develop for depth. We normally have a good LB or so, but depth is always an issue.

ou mean the one lamenting the fact that Otaro Alaka and Josh Walker (our two best linebackers) are out for the season, A.J. Hilliard is completely fricking lost at MLB, Shaan Washington is underperforming, and we couldn't redshirt a single one of our freshman linebackers, even the one who is recovering from a spinal injury (Riley Garner) because we have absolutely ZERO depth at linebacker?

No, I mean this one:

"We slacked off on recruiting Dontavious Jackson"

Welcome to our world the last several years. Chavis isnt going to improve your talent at LB, he just doesnt recruit. You need a recruiter to help bring talent in for him. Every single LBer playing for us this year was recruited by someone else on our staff, not Chavis.
