Hard to be 2nd in the country when your defensive backfield is suspended.

Funny how ugas defense leapfrogged past us despite ours being better last year.

and they averaged 40 points per game on the UGA defense
No they didn't.
SC scored 17 points off of our offensive turnovers and ST.
LSU scored a TD off a pick 6.
Boise, SC, LSU, and MSU did not "average 40 points" against our defense.

Actually 21. Melvin Ingram fake punt, Antonio Allen pick 6, Melvin Ingram scoop and score off the clowney sack and forced fumble.

who at UGA gave the SEC scheduling dept a rim job?
As if this hasn't been stated enough already, it's the fault of conference expansion einstein. We were supposed to play in tuscaloosa this year but with the new additions now we go to missouri instead.
And for all the people saying "this isn't fair, their schedule is too easy!", I sure hope in 2008 when we played @SC, Arizona State, Bama, @LSU, and @AU yall were saying "wow their schedule is really hard!"

Plus, having Saban and Smart helps just a little.
Yeah, cause Todd Grantham really sucks...

Sounds like someones arse is still hurt from last year. dont blame you. Congrats on the past wins but if you wanna bring up the past i would like to remind you that UGA still owns the series and largest margin of victory. And please, you dont have to defend the thug pos that meyer was giving oral sex to every night. Im so excited that we have planted muschump down there in that cess pool of a university, good news for us. Now the real question is since his buddy DDooley wears the orange pants at Tennessee, how long before muschump starts wearing his jorts on the sideline?

Don't cry about being screwed by the sec when you are reaping the rewards.

The next time georgia has a better defense than alabama will be when nick saban is spending fall saturday afternoons on lake burton. I watched the uga defense get bitch slapped in the second half of the SECCG by a one dimensional offense. Please leave this "better than bama" crap at the door. Georgia has 3 or 4 defenders that would start at bama. Sure, Jones might be the best players in the league, but the defensive unit at bama will be right up there with LSU for tops in the country

Nope, we were playing @ARK, LSU, SC, @FSU, Bama in the SECCG, and OK in the BCS Championship Game.....didn't care about your schedule

The Georgia defense will be statistically one of the best in the nation next year for a number of reasons:
1. They have good players and a good coach.
2. The offenses they face will not be particularly strong
Whether or not they will actually be the best or one of the best all around defenses in the country against top flight competition is up for debate.
Georgia's 10 D1 wins last year were against opponents with a combined record of 52-57. The 4 losses were against teams that were a combined 47-7.
Georgia's best win last year was probably against Georgia Tech or Auburn (both teams were 8-5).
In those 4 losses, UGA gave up, on average 28.5 offensive points per game and 353.5 yards per game. Not the signs of the greatest defense ever, and those yards are skewed by the one great half they had against LSU in the SECCG.
We'll see how they do against decent competition next year when they waltz into Atlanta at 10-2 or better to face whatever beast comes out of the west next year and then how they do in whatever big bowl they get.
I think they'll be great against the scrubs, and mediocre again against the good teams.

I think LSU will have the best D but we will be a close second.
Bama has finished #1 four straight years, nothing will change this year. UGA certainly will not challenge. Bama #1, and LSU #2.

We lost hardly nothing
Good, maybe they can improve on the three touchdowns allowed per game.
UGA gave up more points last year than Bama did the last two years total
UGA #1 defense???

i don't mind as much UGA drawing the shorter straw to get to drop @Tuscaloosa in place of adding Ole Miss at home. we owe UGA for helping us get into the SEC in 1991. however, the favoritism that allowed UGA to: shift around their schedule to move the SC game later, get a perfect mid season bye, have no back-to-back road games, and get a weak sister before every top 20 game was a little excessive.
to accomindate UGA's request, SC now has to play UGA, @LSU, @Florida and Tennessee in consectutive weeks before they get their bye in week 10.
