They ran a swinging gate play against AU last year and ran 4 fake punts last season. Lets not forget the halfback passes they run with Williams.

They better run quite a few.
The one time they tried to run true, power, American football, Auburn prevailed with a goal line stand.

Weird thread coming from a fan of Auburn trick play University.

Bert mentioned the swinging gate play was to get Senior Brian Buhener in the game. It was our last home game of the year and wanted to get him in.
I wouldn't call a halfback pass a "trick" play.
Now if i see a little man crouching in the back field I know what is coming...

Besides, a larger number of plays by itself isn't indicative that one team is more of a hurry up. If you're gaining more yards per carry...as Auburn did by a full yard and a half...you're going to take less time to score and you're going to run fewer plays. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how quick you're running the play.

But if it takes less time to score, then you should also be getting more possessions, thus more plays.
fail again.
fail again.

Probably a bunch. He has nothing to lose.
He's got the first game to lose same as Gus.

Damnit, you beat me to it.
Last year we had
First Quarter half back pass - fail
On side kick - fail
Went for it on fourth and goal - fail
3rd quarter 1/2 back pass - fail
Swinging gate formation - worked for a first down
Sniper shot on our second string linebacker - worked, Swain out for the rest of the game
2 end around reverses - fail
