Strangely enough we've never produced an MLB MVP. Multiple NBA and NFL MVPs.
Albert Belle probably should have won an MVP in the mid-90s but he was hated by the voters.

Gamecocks
George Rogers ... Rookie of the Year, Rushing Title, MVP all in the same year.
Alex English ... NBA MVP
Brian Roberts ... MLB MVP
I have no idea if I am correct or not, but I might be, who knows.

FIFY, Belle was pretty universally hated because he was a dick to basically everyone. getting caught corking his bat (and then trying to break into the umpire's locker room to try to steal the bat) also didn't help him. The Fernando Vina incident wasn't great either. If he wasn't such a dick, he'd have a decent argument for the HOF. His career OPS is ridiculous

None of them won the MVP but were great players

Should have all three but unfortunately Wilkins was in the prime of Bird Magic and Jordan.
Spud Chandler AL MVP 1943 - had to dig to find this.

I was kind of surprised Big Hurt didn't win one.

I didn't think he did but apparently I'm wrong.

Wait a minute, I thought I was right. There is no "MLB MVP", there are league MVPs.
Thomas won the league MVP in 1993 & 1994.

I think that is crazy that LSU doesn't have an MVP in MLB. They owned cbb in the 90s
