A&M sold out season tickets last year (probably will have a few unsold this year after all is said and done), but we don't use a waiting list--after the renewal deadline, available seats are filled using priority point rankings--the seats may be claimed by existing ticket holders who want to move up, or by new ticket holders, but whether you are an existing ticket holder or a new applicant, you simply get a shot at what is open when your turn comes up, if there is anything available.

Yet Jay Jacobs can't seem to get the AU Family to pony up money to renovate the stadium you already have?

How long has Jay's feasibility study been going on now, a year - two years?

What are the chances I get season tickets if I've never had them before, and this is my first year in the 12th man foundation?

Yes and no, ticket donation renewal is right now. Its just the donation.

The only tickets for sale are A Day

That's basically what UGA does. No "waiting list" but we have the Hartman Fund that you have to contribute to each year($250 or up per seat)to keep your current season tix. New ticket holders are chosen by their Hartman fund points(donation $)standing...

Donation levels to purchase new renewable season tix have been as low as $400 per seat('10) & as high as $11,000 per seat('08)...

Once you get your tix tho you just have to donate the per seat minimum($250 & up depending on location) each year to keep your tix...

Basically you buy your 1st time tix with donation money & the point total is different every year depending on demand...

It is all based on priority points for lifetime giving. Based on what I see, you would have to pony up a pretty good size donation to buy up someone's non-renewal.

Season tickets at Kyle Field should be considered as an investment, I would never give mine up, no matter the team's record.

Then what's the hold up on JHS renovations? Many programs have construction underway or completed since Jacobs took the JHS plans "back to the drawing board" a year ago.

Design, essentially they are switching all the main features of the stadium for the team and higher up boosters to a different location. They are trying to please everyone with one design and it hasnt been going well. I'd expect we hear of plans this year '16, for reno to start after '17

The last plans didn't receive glowing feedback from donors.

We obviously do for basketball. Seats get passed down through generations so the wait list is absurdly long. Plus the extremely large donations required to even have the rights to then purchase the tickets.

Used to be allowed but was recently disallowed at Alabama. However, people find ways around it.

"Grandpa Bernie" just keeps getting his tickets until he is 112.

Just to clarify for those unfamiliar, the donation every year isn't JUST to "keep your seats", you have to get to a certain level before even getting seats.

That's why I was so mystified by the ole miss ticket thread. You can't just say "I want tickets this year, I think I'll buy some"...you could conceivably contribute for years before making the minimum. The minimum depends on people not renewing, switching to better seats, dying, etc.

Oh, and the contribution is just for the right to actually buy your tickets. After you hartman fund contribution then you are permitted to buy the actual tickets.

AU could build a stadium that holds 250,000 people and fill it up if there were 70,000 paying fans and 180,000 high school FFA- Boy Scouts- band members that they could bribe to sit through them getting their shite pushed in by JaxState.
