You should learn the definition of a troll. This is a 100% factual, very informative thread. I thank Tornado Alley for his dedication to tRant. I mean, I was 99% sure that Arkansas's program sucked...thanks to TA, I'm 100% certain.

The SEC's most recent expansion occurred in 2012. It's a logical starting place.

But you did every power 5 conference?

Back to the drawing board, put some more effort into your next thread.

I appreciate your kind words and inspirational comments.

However, don't assume that because I didn't attend LSU, I am a supporter of the Tigers. It's a common misconception and I have been guilty of it before.

I graduated from Ole Miss in May 2013

I did.

Why should I start at different years for different conferences?

2012 was a landmark year for college football, by the way. It was the first time a conference had more than twelve teams.

Get it together, man.

Us expanding in 2012 is still a reference point. If Burger King opened in 2012 and McDonald's opened in 1940, I doubt you'll give a frick about McDonald's sales pre-2012.

Fair enough.

Why four wins though?

Well if Ole Miss then by all means troll MSU. I mean now the counter attacks change to questions about whether or not you need to leave to get your Klan outfit from the cleaners after the last cross burning or asking if TCU just scored again on you.

That is even worse then LSU. They at least have good food and drunken Cajuns, that is hard to beat in the off season.

Nearly 90% of teams in the Power Five conferences won at least five conference games from 2012 to 2014.

I chose the four wins statistic because it was nearest to an "identifiable" figure, nearly 90%, which represented the absolute floor of "success" as a college football program. Basically, I chose that particular figure to show that only the most putrid of college football programs fall into the secondary grouping.

And here I was, hoping to have found a reasonable Arkansas fan on tRant.

You posted all that in order to make fun of Arkansas?

Why not simply say Arkansas sucks and be done with it?

To be fair, the op could be trolling Kentucky as well. It is not nice to leave them out.

I am simply here to provide interesting statistics and show to tRant, the epicenter of SEC football message boards, that there are a certain number of programs which simply don't belong in a Power Five conference, as evidenced by their extreme lack of success.

or you could have just posted this:

quote:

Power Five teams which haven't won more than four conference games since 2012
Arkansas
Colorado
Illinois
kansas
Kentucky
Purdue
Rutgers*

and saved everyone a little bit of time.

There it is.

I can only do so much. I mean, it's pretty obvious what I was doing

Anyways, here's to hoping the Rantards show up soon and provide us with hours of entertainment

I can't understand why Arkansas fans are so mad. Statistics are an objective measure of success, based entirely on on-field success and presented in an unbiased manner.

I don't believe the right and proper reaction to these stats is to be mad and angry at the posting of them if you're not in the winning majority of college football. Rather, I believe Arkansas fans should look inward, and truly find the reason that they are in the bottom 10% of conference wins and see if they can correct it.

Ole Miss fans are here for counseling if you need it, Arkansas. We simply want to right the ship.

Shouldn't Rutgers be ahead of Arkansas on this list? Arkansas lost to them.

If these would be easy wins, how do you explain this?
