Does auburn play a lot of zone defense? I can't see them getting any picks on Harris with man to man; too much zip.

They were talking Auburn LSU and you had to come in showing your Auburn butthurt. Even now your response is about your butthurt and not the game.

Harris has a 75% completion rating to Nick's 50%, has 3 TDs rushing to Nick's 2, 6 TDs to Nick's 6 and he has only played 3 qtrs, scoring 84 pts on 13 of 16 drives. Gus recruited him and he said he has an NFL arm, something he does not dare say about Nick.

This is pretty remarkable, actually. His one INT was on that final play against Miss. St. when he threw it into the end zone on the Hail Mary.

I am not saying that he will replicate all of that in any way, but still. Pretty impressive for a true freshman no matter the competetion.

When he was going into the game against New Mexico State after Jennings had turned it over 3 times in 4 drives, he says to his punter, Jamie Keehn, that he would not be out there again the rest of the night. 7 drives and 7 TDs later, he was right up until the very end when Kragthorpe came in.

Major confidence, there.

I don't think they bench Harris unless he just falls apart or LSU's offense is in need of a spark in the second half.

As for Harris' picks it depends on how much pressure Auburn gets on him and him forcing things. It's his first start on the road and against the best defense he has faced. Odds are he isn't going to be as impressive as he has looked and that will likely lead to him feeling he has to do more to win the game.

I say 2 picks for Harris plus a fumble and none for Jennings. QB controversy 2.0 next week at LSU

Gus called Harris "Mini Cam" during the recruitment process. Only difference is that Harris has a better arm and is -70lbs

Does any fan base build quarterbacks to be great based on nothing more than the LSU tards on this board? I think not.

A lot of Harris success came against a garbage team like New Mexico State. If you go back and look at the two touchdown passes he threw against State, one came on a pass where Malachi Dupree was basically wide open. This is pretty similar to the touchdown pass Jennings threw against Arkansas at the end of last year when the same LSU rant tards on this board crowned him the greatest quarterback of all time

Gus tells half the QBs he recruits that. But either way we're talking about a true freshman playing his first real opponent on the road. Auburn's pass defense is alot better than States and he threw a pick against them.

No doubt OP. Les Miles can't win against Auburn. Oh wait, he's 7-2 against the War Tigers.

If Jordan Mother fricking Jefferson and Jarret Lee could beat Auburn...I don't see why Harris can't. We'll see how he responds to his first real test.

I'm going to say 2 but I don't think he plays bad enough to get benched for Jennings.

Shut your c*m dumpster! 45-10, you are ridiculous. You will be leaving the game by the beginning of the 4th to snuggle with your hand in your single wide.

a hail mary to the endzone that was picked off. Its not like he had a bad read or the defender jumped a route

I can play this game too. A lot of Nick Marshall's success has come against garbage teams. 4 of his 6 passing touchdowns came against San Jose State and Louisiana Tech. Outside of those 2 games he's only got 3 touchdowns all year.

And just for shits and giggles Brandon Harris vs Nick Marshall over first 30 passes and 16 rushes (Harris current numbers)

Harris: 22/30 394 yards 6TD 1INT 16 rush 108 yards 3TD

'13 Marshall: 17/30 238 yards 2TD 0INT 16 rush 64 yards 0TD

'14 Marshall: 16/30 173 yards 1TD 0INT 16 rush 94 yards 2TD

Regarding pressuring Harris: the only times he has been pressured he improvised and either scrambled for his 3 TDs or threw for TDs or positive yardage. Let's go to Gus on the Harris-Dupre connection that has produced 4 textbook TDs with beautiful fades, 2 in 25 seconds vs MOO: …"With the couple of touchdowns, they were definitely on the same page. You can tell that they've worked together on their own and are two very talented freshmen." Malachi Dupre was not basically wide open they do however tend to make it look easy. Born on the same day, in the stars so to speak.

LSU has a miserable record of recruiting QBs, and utilizing them. We kept Harris an AUB-recruit and commit (if you had agreed to play him) spread option QB on the bench overlooking his skills until an injury gave him 2 min of playing time. Now he has the highest QBR and RAT ratings in the SEC. LSU has zero QB's in the SEC top 25 of all time..0. The Arky catch was because Jarvis Landry drew a triple team and he called the play, not the coaches.

Gus is not real high on Nick's passing: Has Auburn been able to spread the ball around in the passing game…"From time to time, there have been a game or two where we spread the ball around a lot" all out of reach of the receivers. Hey when you can run, run, Forest, run.

JUCO talent accounts for 60+% of your offense, you give down on your luck guys a second chance and I admire that, nothing good happens when you kick a guy when he is down on his luck for stealing a laptop or stoned behind the wheel.
