It was a charmed year...Do remember though, that the two we lost were very tough ones we obviously could have won. Of course you could argue we lost those two because of him

It's becoming obvious that his moments that earned him the title "Lesticles" were just idiot calls that only worked because the talent of LSU was good enough to bail him out for the most part.

Why does LSU have a better program than Auburn then? I'm not questioning if the man is an idiot or not...he is. Why would you not trade him as a coach? What has Cheese nuts done?

Either that or his staff can't develop players worth a damn. He may have highly ranked classes, but his DL and OL recruiting/development has been terrible

If that last second pass against Auburn in 2007 was incomplete this meltdown would have occurred over a year ago and Miles would be out of a job at the end of this season. As it stands, he probably gets another year.

Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking LSU or its program. It is extremely talented and that hasn't changed since Miles has taken over the helm. What has changed is a decrease in discipline, a decrease in the development of players, and a drastic downgrade in the coaching department. Miles is a lunatic with his methods. He's made bad coaching hires, is absolutely dreadful at time management, let's terrible play calling go through, and looks generally lost on the sideline.
But, he is lucky as hell with some of these horrible methods and LSU wins the game despite him. That luck just ran out this weekend.

LSU is in a much more fertile area to recruit in, and had a fantastic foundation built under Saban to maintain success.
Auburn is in full out rebuilding mode under Chizik. Chizik has a great staff under him and it is visible that Auburn is on the upswing with him. And the most glaring thing Chizik has on Miles that if he was in Miles position at the end of that game, he would have actually won because he isn't so dumb as to call passing plays in field goal range and let 17 crucial seconds drip off the clock.

I've told friends that Miles was in over his head but benefited from great assistant coaches and a massive pipeline of talent that Saban helped get started. I knew this after the 2007 AU game but never thought he'd be that stupid again.

Miles did win an Oscar for Sling Blade too. None of the other coaches can make that claim. Oh, I almost forgot about Richt in as Good as it gets. My Bad.
