I like Finebaum, I wish he was still on Sirius/XM channel 91.

No shiz. He does some good interviews and some of the rants Dye and Stallings have done on his show are classics. The callers make the show a trainwreck but everybody knows about trainwrecks?

The guy is too abrasive for Gameday. Like when he told the nicest guy on the show "your wrong" last week. He's got a face made for radio also.

His whole show is Jerry Springer on the radio. It had little or nothing to do with sports back in 2007/08 when I listened to him. I have not listened to him since 2009. I am honestly shocked that he is on TV so much now. I do not understand it. He is very uninformed when it comes to sports and recruiting (the lifeblood of college football.)

And giggle time with Barbra Dooley is a legitimate reason to hate him.

he has moved up in his industry the right way (through hard work and dedication)

Herb Winches and Ben Cook disagree with this statement

I don't take kindly to people that constantly blow Bama as hard as him and Tom Luginbil do.

I love the show and find it for the most part entertaining and hilarious. I can only imagine how many other callers they can squeeze in if they could eliminate the "Paul, uh uh...bama uh uh"

Don't know if I hate Finebaum or not. I certainly hated his show on Sirius as it felt like an interruption to College Sports radio lineup. There is nothing good or clever about a show that is 90% driven by Howard Stern or Jim Rome wannabe callers.

So he heaps a lot of praise on Alabama. So what? What has Alabama done in the last few years to deserve any criticism at all? They lost a slugfest in 2011 in overtime (avenged), and last year they no-showed for the 1st half against A&M. (Every team, including Saban teams, will mail it in on occasion, Saban-coached LSU once lost to UAB at home). Other than that, they have won.

If Alabama was going .500 every year, I'm sure Finebaum would unload on them. Someone earlier posted that when Shula was there he said that Alabama deservd better. Tulane deserves better than Shula.

So, if he wants to priase Alabama, more power to him. As far as his callers, if you don't like his show, don't listen to his show.

He's fine for his venue and audience, basically a Colin Cowherd/Jerry Springer cross. I was expecting a bit more for the SEC Network 'Voice of the SEC'. Ultimately ratings will determine his tenure. If he's pulling in the numbers he'll keep his job, kudos to him as that's what he's paid to do and it will be more a reflection on 'us' rather than him.

I'm old enough to remember when the guy had a column with the Birmingham News and I hated him then. Don't really care for him now nor do I hate him anymore.

It was The Birmingham Post Herald - way before they went under. That should show our age.
