I don't see the irony in that, at all. They are completely unrelated.

Yeah, we'll lose some players huh, no chance Saban could still have Bama contending next year amirite?

I don't follow recruiting like most of you guys do but isn't this class pretty poor? Relatively speaking of course

I think it's ranked 6th currently.

Unlikely they jump back up to their normal #1 spot, but still plenty of time for it to get better.

But if it finishes around 5-7 then that's a bit interesting.

I think he has 3, but once he gets 2 more, i think he passes the torch
I think that as long as Saban is at Bama they have a 50:50 chance every year of winning the BCS trophy. I think he will definitely try to get 2 more so that he has the all time record for NCAA titles. I think this will take him 3-5 years.

As far as retirement, he will know when he's ready. He doesn't seem like the type that will hang around like Bowden or Paterno and have to be pushed out because he can no longer relate or have the strength to put in the time required to excel.

It's ranked #8 with a bunch left outstanding.

If we finished with the guys most seem pretty confident in :Davis, Wilson, Carter, Knott, Hall, Gavin, Richards, that would put us at 300.37 on 247.

Comparatively
2015 : #1 311.08, #2 310.70, #3 286.76
2014 : #1 319.58, #2 299.30, #3 296.06
2013 : #1 319.48, #2 303.27, #3 291.48

So, it would be a Top 2-3 class most every year, and I assume somewhere around that this year as well.

The #12 and #13 overall players are from Gordo, AL and Montgomery, AL are heavily favored to go to Alabama (both 5-stars). Davis from Gordo is an Alabama legacy and Wilson, while more possible to the leave state, are both probably staying. So, 2 of the Top 13 in the country probably being added soon will probably change things rankings wise (not that that matters).

Yep. That's really hurt us and Florida in the past. We're shaking.

Let me rewind one year to the Ohio State loss in the playoffs.

That was tough research.

The notion of Saban losing 3 straight to a women's basketball coach would make me shake if I were a Bama fan. Talk about your tarnished legacy.

I don't think you quite understand his point. We lost to Ole Miss the last 2 seasons and still were in a situation to win the national championship at the end of the year.

Better luck next time, though.

What does that have to do with Ole Miss? I'm scared for the local population if you are actually a pharmacist.

Ohio State last year and Clemson this year shows me that the distance between Bama and everyone else is shrinking. The recruiting has taken a slight dip. I think he wins 2 more over the next 8 years.

Yeah, Saban wins 5 titles, and it's losing to Freeze that he'll be known for.

If I were you, I'd be scared that during the best years Ole Miss has seen since integration, you still choke and can't win the west. You had it in your hands, and lost to a mid major and 4th and 25.

If you guys don't quit choking, you'll be back to being the rest of the West's bitch in no time.

Eh... I'm not worried. Everyone knew urban would get elite talent to Columbus. Clemson was surprisingly good. But a great QB makes a good team elite. You can say these type of Qbs are Saban's kryptonite. But Gus like Watson and Cam have pretty much shredded everyone.

Just pray Saban doesn't end up with an elite QB, like Ohio St and Clemson have had.
