Mississippi State will be in a 4-way battle royale for cellar dweller in the West this year. The other three contestants are A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn.

LSU, Arkansas, and Alabama will battle for 1-3.

It's the way it usually is.

State is probably the least talented team in the West and is replacing several key pieces. A rookie QB behind a pretty bad line is a recipe for disaster. That said, if someone can really step up at RB, State can probably get to 7.

State does not have less talent than Arkansas, and hasn't for a while.

Yet Mississippi State is going to be thumped by Arkansas on the field this year.
These are just facts, man.

It's always a good one, but if Arkansas wins it'll mean we have gone 0-4 in qb's this year. Not happening under Mullen. Our defense will be improved. We win at least 7, including Arkansas.

What you said.
We won't suck, we will just have a standard down year for Mullen. 8 win ceiling.

Been a fan along time, Dan has raised the bar at State. I don't always agree with him but I hope we can keep him around for another 4/5 years.
