He asked about WR's, not total # of players from Arkansas.

Honest mistake I'm sure.

For sure. This draft has been weird, IMO. Players like Upshaw not getting drafted until the second round, and Adams still not drafted. WTF?

Anyone who thought our WR's were first round locks obviously knows nothing about the NFL. Also, I don't think I've seen a single Arkansas fan claim that our WR's were first round locks.

There is a HUGE difference between being the best WR corp in college and being an NFL WR. A 5'10 WR can dominate in college on the outside like Jarius Wright did this past year but he will get abused in the pro's and has to be turned in to a slot guy. However, slot guys don't get drafted in the top few rounds.

Greg Childs would have absolutely been a 1st round draft pick as early as last year if not for his knee injury. He will still most likely be a big time steal for someone as he looks to finally be 100% after never even being close his senior year. The knee injury is going to kill his payday though. For the sake of Arkansas' draft reputation he probably would have been best served by redshirting this past year and coming back in '12. He probably would have soared back to a 1st or 2nd round pick easily.

Adams and Wright will both be slot guys in the NFL so they should go now that the big WR's that NFL teams crave these days are off the board. Both of them in the right systems will probably excel but neither will ever be an every down WR. Not gonna happen in today's NFL unless one of them gets lucky enough to be drafted by the Patriots to replace Welker.

I'm not upset at all. That's just an honest assessment of our WR's.

He seems calm enough. I completely agree with your assessment. Our receivers were small...that leads to later draft picks. Someone will draft Adams based on return ability soon. That's it.

No you didn't. You heard that they were the best WR corp in college football. No one was talking about the NFL Draft.

Ummmm, I saw a pretty solid post full of good reasoning, and a pretty objective assessment of Arky receivers. However, I suspect you were dangling bait from the get go, amirite? Don't answer that of course I am right.

I will agree that some Arky fans did claim top NFL talent at WR spot.

Show me a thread or even a post where an Arkansas fan claimed they were all first round talent. You won't because you can't. You are translating threads about being the best WR corp in the country into "all are first round locks".

ETA: All three will be drafted which is what most Arkansas fans do claim. I'm arguing first round vs getting drafted here.

You might not have said it, but I read countless times last off season how Arky receivers would be drafted in the first round. There are so many shitty/trolling Arkansas fans on here we can't help but fricking hate you guys

Hamilton, Gragg, and Wade are going to be the best set of receivers in the West. Knile Davis is going to open up the passing game for bigger plays. Wilson may just be the be the best QB in college football. That's pretty amazing after losing what we did in Adams, Wright, and Childs. If Arkansas' D improves, I like our chances.

Do what? Can an Arkansas fan that thought any of these recievers would go in the first round please step up. Please come forward so LSU fans can bash on you. Oh wait...not one fan has ever said that or even had that thought cross their minds.

Cobi Hamilton is the only one of the 4 that is even close to NFL WR talent and he's still with the team. At least as far as a #1 or #2 stance. Childs would have been decent before he got hurt and played the season scared. He might still be okay but nobody ever thought these recievers were even close to a top 3 round talent.

IDK about arky fans claiming all 3 would be 1st rounders, but there was a lot "WR U" talk being thrown around the last month or so before signing day.

I would take Robert Woods, Marquise Lee, George Farmer, and Xavier Grimble over Arkys group.
