1997 grad here (Marketing). Off the top of my head I can name 5 childhood friends that graduated from another college but are huge Bama sidewalk fans and go to games. 2 graduated from Auburn, 1 from Vanderbilt, 1 from Rhodes College, and 1 from Birmingham Southern. All diehard Bamme sidewalkers.

I didn't, I put both of my children through The University of Alabama with degrees, one has her masters and teaches special Ed kids and the other works for Eaton Corp and both walked to receive their degrees and do not owe a dime for student loans. Call me anything you like but I earned the right to be an Alabama fan if I want to.

1997 here.

But with that said, why does it freaking matter how many Bama fans actually graduated from Alabama? "Sidewalk" fans are what differentiates the top tier football programs from the rest. If it wasn't for the "sidewalk" fans, then Bama wouldn't consistently be in the top 5 in revenue generating football programs. Not to mention the fact that sidewalk fans are a direct result of having a historically good program. Just because your program isn't good enough to gain sidewalk fans shouldn't cause you to be jealous enough to try and mock our program for having them.
